What did you eat 10 days post op?
Congratulations and welcome! The stage you are in is tough and what everyone is saying on here is true! Some advice I received when I was struggling about 2 weeks post op was "pretend you have restriction". Basically follow the lapband rules but don't expect it to work yet. Its a challenge!! Just keep your eye on the prize and the scale will begin to move in the right direction. Before you know it, it will be time for your first fill and you'll be shopping for new (smaller) clothes! Good luck and visit this site often it is an excellent support source.

"Pretend you have restriction"- I had this revelation last week! I think there's something to it.

Working out
How long after surgery did you start to really work out? My Dr. said I could start 2 weeks after my procedure but after 10 minutes on the elliptical I felt dizzy and sick so I stopped. I want to get started with a routine but I don't want to jump the gun. PS I'm 4 weeks out now

Finally a success AND and "AH HA" moment
That slow and steady stuff can be frustrating! I too am learning that it's all part of this process.

I wouldn't worry about it. Shopping for clothes is an enjoyable experience now and you deserve to splurge after all your hard work. Enjoy dressing your new figure!

I'm hungry
I was thinking that today Maybe I'm not eating enough protein. It's mostly been yogurt, ricotta, and soup. I haven't been having the Optifast bc I'm just so sick of it. I should probably try Muscle Milk or something else.

I'm hungry
I am just over 2 weeks out, still in the mushy food phase which I don't mind. I've been eating about 1 cup of food per meal. The problem is I'm usually hungry again in 2 hours. It's like clockwork. I'm really trying to watch what I eat bc I don't want to gain before my first fill- I'd like to even lose (of course). How did everyone cope with this?

Sweet spot

Does the gas ever end?!
I was just going to post something similar. Maybe we'll both get some answers - I'm still in liquid phase and (TMI alert) whenever I drink let's just say it going right though me- I'm 10 days post op. When does this stop?!

Three months into pre-op diet and having attitude problems
Hello and welcome...it's tough when that emotional eating factor starts sneaking up on you. I find that keeping busy is super important even if that means talking on the phone with friends or cleaning up around the house. Also, don't lose sight of your accomplishments so far... 13 pounds is not easy to lose!
