  1. Well, I did it yesterday too... and I am sitting here wondering... when can I feel normal again? The surgery itself wasn't too bad, the soreness was expected, the pressure was a lot worse than I thought though. Now that I have figured out how to deal with that... when can I sleep normally again? When will I stop feeling naseaous everytime I get up? Are these normal feelings? How quickly will these things go away? Any quick post-op advice out there?
  2. I agree, thank you for the encouraging words. I am sitting here doing one last message board chat before packing my stuff and getting ready for my lap band tomorrow. I, too, am nervous, but excited. I just can't believe it is already here! My prayers are with all of you... Best of luck!
  3. Hi all! I'm going to be banded on Monday (8/27). I am starting to get a little nervous about everything, but your posts have definitely encouraged me. Happy to hear that everyone is doing so well. Can't wait to join you!
  4. Thank you so much! I figured that I should book a hotel room and wait it out awhile, just in case. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
  5. And if there were not enough people getting banded on 8/27/07, I am as well! I definitely understand the feeling of being in the "home stretch" now with the pre-op diet, but only good things to come very soon! Good luck to all of you on your banding day!
  6. I am scheduled for banding next Monday, 8/27 with Dr. Gonzalez... I am starting to get very nervous, but other than that, I have a few strange questions to ask those of you who went to him. How long did you stay? I live in San Diego, so I am driving down for the surgery and they said I could drive back after I am discharged from the hospital. Is this a good idea? Should I book a hotel room at least for one night to be sure? I am worried not only about the pain factor, but also about the pain medication. Any thoughts? How sooon were you able to drive? Have any of you gone to do this by yourself?
  7. I just want to say... thank you for asking this question, and for the replies! I am sitting here, freaking out too, about going through with the surgery (I am scheduled for Monday, 8/27). I have read many posts and overall, it seems people are very happy with their decision. I just think that as my date gets closer, I am realizing that it's going to happen, and to be honest, it's a bit scary! Thank you for your help! :car:
