  1. sugar free popsicles, heating pad for back, EAS makes a advantEDGE carb control with 17 grams of protein drink at walmart, it has no sugars (important due to those sensitive to sugars) they are affordable and premixed.
  2. I was borderline high blood sugar due to low spikes.. since surgery a wk ago I am having low blood sugar issues. It was 59 last time I checked. It was doing this in the hospital and they were giving me something in my iv when it would go low. I worry about this because I have a sensitive stomach to sugar and fear drinking anything. I think protein might help.. I am trying a EAS right now.. anyone else with this issue, any advice
  3. So glad to hear Vicki. You have been in my thoughts. I'm a week out and can tell you we all heal different but the most important thing is to not puke the first 2 wks. My doc said it can cause a leak. Hope you continue to heal and sip sip sip Water starting the moment your allowed
  4. That's the spirit! We can do this!
  5. I would suggest getting off your strict diet for 2 days and eat within reason. Have some pizza but a normal portion. Once you hit your diet again you will be refreshed
  6. Taste will get worse and smells with it. I can't even burn candles. Just keep sip sip sip on the water. Good luck
  7. You will get there. This is my 3 rd surgery. Lap band last yr. Removal Dec, this Jan
  8. I messaged her. I'm hoping she is good
  9. I had lap band first and was stubborn to doc being persistent about having gastric. My lap band was painfull the entire yr. I just had it removed Dec 4 and the scar tissue was so bad I would have had a surgery soon anyway. I had gastric on Jan 9. I have friends that had sleeve, a few love it, a few said the acid reflux is killing them and others gained weight back after a few years. If you have high blood sugar or type 2 diabetes, gastric is the way to go. Take your time and weigh your options but if someone ask my opinion it would be gastric hands down.
  10. They are doing better than me too.. but doc says it's because my pouch is more sensitive than most since I had lap band removal a month ago
  11. Ty. I don't have any particular item in mind but you answered me
  12. I had lap band a yr ago. Lost 45 or so lbs. Was having lots o tummy pain and headache. Doc said I was at a 34 BMI and if I wanted a reversal now was the time. I had it removed on Dec 4 and bypass on Jan 9. From what I can tell I have had more pain than if I had just had the bypass right off..
  13. Sure, I had the same thing. I got up at 5 am and had a scrambled egg and tomatoe sandwich. . Then coffee, later broth, coffee, popsicle, small potato at 3 or I knew I would scarf if I haven't put something in there. Then at 8pm I drank half a bottle of citrus nitrate to give me a movement early morning, worked good for me
  14. Wondering how y'all both are doing. I can't sleep!
  15. Omg I was wanting the same thang! !! Muffin details, quick!!
  16. My doc is very strict. He said that puking in the first 2 weeks can cause a leak so we can only have broth, sf popsicle, hello, and clear liquids. I can't wait to have yogurt. I have Greek blue berry in the fridge waiting on me
  17. Maybe the meds? I was like that a few days and I stopped the loritab and take Tylenol. . Hope you feel better
  18. I would love to eat enough to log lol, broth is all I can have and I can't take more than 1/3 cup twice a day. I used myfitnesspal before and once I can eat I will use it again
  19. I don't understand why her doc didn't do post op CBC. Mine has twice to check blood for infection and new bleeding
  20. Having trouble finding some of the stuff I hear about. It seems I'm gonna be sensitive to sugar stuff all together, even diet juice.

  22. I agree, you answered your own question.I don't regret it yet. I know where your coming from on what the doctors think is best one minute and change the next.. good luck to u
