  1. I'm going to have to try that it sounds delicious.
  2. Today I find myself missing food so much. Not even bad food or a lot if food just food in general. wondering when will I be able to sink my teeth into a piece of grilled chicken and spinach????
  3. Follow what ur surgeon set fourth for u. Pre-op diets vary surgeon to surgeon but ur surgeon has devised a plan that's best for u and ur unique situation. I am on day 8 of my liquid diet but just know some surgeons do 2 weeks some 2days and some none at all just depends on the practice of the surgeon and ur needs.
  4. Try Chike u can order a sample pack online for $9.99. It was my absolute favorite out of them all but I have been having one for Breakfast for the last month then was having them 2-3 times a day On this liquid pre-op diet so I've gotten burned out but prior to that they were absolutely amazing to me without the after taste. www.ilikechike.com
  5. This is great news. Happy to hear everything went well and ur doing ok. Rest up and drop us a line here and there keeping us updated.
  6. Yes ma'am lol I was the same way. I am guilty of looking at a lady thinking to myself "REALLY" but on the real had I had been more focused early on I wouldnt be here at a whopping 105 lbs over weight so yup those that intervened early on was on point.
  7. Erin ur going to do well on ur pre-op diet. I'm on day 8 and surgery is Monday. What I will say is once I made it to day 4 it has been pretty smooth sailing. I don't feel hungry just get the urge to chew or have something with some substance. I haven't experienced any withdrawal symptoms and I think that's because I cut out the sugary foods caffeine and carbs 3-4 weeks before I started the liquid diet. The wonderful people here on these boards r very helpful so visit often to pull from all the positive vibes and on days ur up others will pull from u.
  8. I am taking the centrum chewable one a day and biotin. After surgery I will continue the vitamin and add 1200-1500mg calcium a day and I bought the citrical with D3 but I was instructed not to take the vitamin and calcium together. Supposedly biotin is in my vitamin so I need to stop taking it.
  9. Surgeons instructions preoperatively vary surgeon to surgeon. U chose ur surgeon so I'm sure u r confident in him or her. Follow ur surgeons instructions even if it differs from some of our instructions. We r all having WLS but we r all different people some with additional elements some with no co-morbidities. Ur surgeon has instructed u based on what's best for u. I'm on day 8 of my pre-op liquid diet and Monday won't come fast enough lol. Wishing u much success on ur WLS and looking forward to joining u on the losers bench.
  10. Sending up a prayer for u and sending skinny vibes ur way. Let us know how ur doing when u can.
  11. Pre-op diet instructions seem to vary greatly from surgeon to surgeon. I've heard of people doing 4 weeks, 2 weeks, 1week, 2 days just depends on ur surgeon. I'm sure ur surgeon has his or her reasoning maybe u could inquire why so long so at least u will have an understanding of why u need to do it for that period of time. Best of luck to u Hun.
  12. Thank u so much everyone. What's a comfort is if I do wake up in pain getting under control shouldn't be an issue. I'm praying I'm one of the ones that do really well.
  13. Hey Cari these two weeks r going to fly by. I'm on day 7 and doing pretty pretty good. Best wishes to u!
  14. Hey girl hand in there. I'm feeling u totally!! I don't feel hungry I have a desire to chew I know that sound crazy lol. We r almost there so hang tuff and finish strong U got this.

  16. Hey there I feel the exact same way. I will be sleeved on Monday. I think it's normal we feel this way After all we r having major surgery. Best wishes to u on ur WLS journey.
  17. Everyday my anxiety and fears are rising. My surgery is Monday April 14th. Can anyone share how they felt woke up in recovery? One of my biggest fears is waking up feeling like I've been hit by a freight train.
  18. Hey everyone our big day is just around the corner. How's everyone feeling? For me I'm faring ok on the liquid diet but feeling more and more nervous every day. It's like I'm so ready to be sleeved and begin my new life at the same time scared out of mind that when I wake up in recovery I'm going to feel like I've been hit by a freight train.
  19. I see ur big day is right behind mines. I think we all have our fears be it the initial WLS or revision. Wishing u much success becoming a sleever we will both be on the losing team racing towards a normal BMI soon.
  20. They don't give you meds in the hospital for this? The heating pad I've heard was a life saver and there's been mixed reviews on the gas-x. Some say it really helped while others surgeon stated it's trapped gas from the air they input during the surgery so it won't help with that type if has only walking. I honestly don't know bout the gas-x packing it just in case.
  21. Yeah wouldn't want to end up on YouTube as the Bariatric flasher lol. Thanks that's a thought I could do that.
