  1. I have Anthem too. I had no requirements. My first appointment was in January and I was sleeved march 31. Probably would have been sooner but the weather caused some appointments to be rescheduled.
  2. Just got some bariatric fusion in the mail today.
  3. This looks so good to me right now.
  4. I was sleeved last week and it was a breeze. From the time I started this process until now seemed to really fly by. I didn't even have time to be nervous. Just relax. Get your gas-x strips ready!
  5. Congratulations! It will be here before you know it.
  6. I went to the doctor today to get my drain removed (sleeved 3/31). I had a hiatal hernia repaired during surgery. I was told to walk walk walk and to also incorporate resistance bands and 5lb weights. I think I'll go to the gym tomorrow. I'm tired of sitting on the couch all day.
  7. Thanks but no thanks. That doesn't sound appealing to me at all.
  8. Lmao Lisa. Taco is definitely better than ass.
  9. Let us know how it goes. I'm not having any pain. I HATE soup/broth so that's no help either. I'm gonna try the Greek yogurt thing (even though I hate it too).
  10. I was told that as long as the polish on your nails isn't super dark then you're fine.
  11. I'm in the full liquid stage and when I tell you I'm sick of the sweetness from protein shakes I mean it!!!!
  12. I started full liquids today. I'm soooooo sick of all things sweet. Problem is I don't like broth or soup. Never have.
  13. Congratulations. It won't be long now!
  14. I have hypothyroid and pros. I'm insulin resistant as well. I was sleeved 3/31. My tsh levels have been pretty stable until about a month before surgery. It shot up to 11. I'm not sure when it has ever been so high. I could tell that it came down though because of the way I was feeling.
  15. I'm jealous that you all are getting in your protein. I was sleeved 3/31 and I'm just trying to get in my fluid. I'll tackle protein next week.
  16. I was only at the surgery center for a few hours. Please make sure you have Chapstick and gas x. They gave me 3 gas x while I was there but I was ready for another on the way home. I wasn't alert enough to know that my iPad and phone were there.
  17. I was sleeved on the 31st and had a hiatal hernia. As long as I could stay awake walking was good. The first few days if I had beer laying down for awhile and then tried to walk I could feel it. Not really painful but annoying. Hope you feel better soon.
  18. Right! They weren't even good. If I had to eat breaded shrimp preop those aren't even the ones I would have chosen.
  19. Breaded shrimp. They were so nasty! Now I'm awake and nauseous!
  20. Hello all. I was sleeved 3/31/14. All is well so far with the exception of so pain caused by the repair of a hiatal hernia. Hopefully that will subside soon. I so excited about what is in store for me. As far as hair, I'm natural and have been for almost 6 years. Besides VSG, my husband and son,the best decision of my life.
  21. Yes I'm only 4 days post op but I figure I won't be able to wear these sweaters and corduroys next year so why not pack them up. I have lots of time on my hands right now. It has been in the upper 70s and low 80s this week so winter is a wrap. Pack it up and move it out!
  22. Thanks. I've had pain since I woke up. That's where all my gas was. I'm going to call when they pen though. Thanks again.
