Are you going to miss the person in the mirror
I lived my entire life as a big guy, being almost 7 months out I'm down to around 180 lbs and every time I look in the mirror or try on clothes I can't believe how far I come, I workout just about every day and enjoy it, I have a whole new outlook on life and changed my eating habits for the better. Best of look to you and I wish you much success.

What do you consider your ideal pants size ?
It still blows my mind that 6 months ago I was busting out of my 42 jeans and now wear a 32, the 1st time I went to try them on they looked so tiny I though there was no way they where going to fit.

The Smoothie and Protein Drink Debate
I think protein shakes / smoothies should be used to supplement, sometimes when your on the go a protein shake makes for a quick meal and prevents you from getting hungry and making bad food decisions or sometimes your craving something like ice cream and can whip up a smoothie like mike shake to satisfy that craving.

What am I doing wrong?
Try not to focus to much on the scale, keep doing what your doing, you went from walking to starting Zumba that's awesome. Stay positive and keep up the good work.

Why hide it?
I choosed to keep it private because I was afraid I wouldn't be successful, I work with someone who had the lap-band and even though they lost some weight they are still overweight, part of the reason is they didn't follow the guidelines set by the dr. Now that I'm 6 months out and down to 185 pounds my dr says that I could be a walking billboard, in fact my wife is following in my footsteps and getting sleeved next month, so to make it easier on her I've started to tell our close friends so that she can see how they react before she tells them about getting her surgery, and they have all been supportive and behind us 100%.

Let's create some awesomesauce!
Forgot to add that since I lost a lot of weight that I'm now getting involved in more active social events, joined an adult kickball league, played for the first time last night and it was a blast also plan on joining the men's basketball league even though I suck at basketball.

Help question
I'm no dr or nutrition specialist, but If that's all your eating, your defiantly not getting enough protein. Try some beef jerky it's like 20 grams of protein per serving and can be picked up at most convience stores. If this is something that us happening more then once I would defiantly follow up with your dr. Best of luck to you

Time off work-did you need more or less
I was out for 4 weeks, because I have physically demanding job, but normally it would've been 1-2 weeks, depending on person.

Passing goal, onderland
Went to dr to get results from blood work, got on the scale and holly molly blew by my goal weight of 200 and was down to 190 while in uniform pants and work boots, blood work was all good, it was a great check up. Best of luck to everyone that is on this journey.

12lbs in 5days
I don't weight myself regularly (last weight-in was a month ago at drs follow up) so not sure if I hit a stall or not, but noticed that clothes were fitting better and I was constantly updating my wardrobe, plus everyday I feel so much better about health and well being and have gained so much self confidence.

Let's create some awesomesauce!
1- wake up early before the alarm feeling well rested and no cpap machine. 2- packing lunch and Snacks for work (10hr days) 3- go to gym during lunch break and enjoy getting in a 30-45 workout in. 4- not worrying about next meal. There is so much more that I can't even think of, I enjoy being active everyday, my only regret is not during this sooner.

How long until you had your first drink?
I think I was about 6 weeks out before having a drink, since surgery I have had 1 beer during a hockey game and it took me about 2/3rds of the game to finish.
-
Coffee
Prior to surgery I was a big coffee drinker, probably 4-5 20oz cups a day. After surgery I had no desire for coffee up till about 2 weeks out, now I do maybe 2 small 8oz cups throughout the day. Dr said it was fine as long as I'm getting on enough water throughout the day.

200 Pound weekly weigh in
