  1. Sorry. I misunderstood. I paid cash and never received an itemized bill.
  2. I paid $10K cash in Houston. And that includes all fills and maintenance for a year.
  3. They crunch like a tortilla chip but are gluten free and not that gmo corn crap! I love them!
  4. I just set my fork down. Talk and listen and watch how many bites others are taking while I wait. It makes me aware of how much I used to eat. And I am happy to see the difference while talking and setting my fork down. .
  5. They are great with guacamole!
  6. Blue Diamond. Yummy.
  7. I eat almond nut thins with sea salt. They are gluten free made from almonds and rice. Serving size is 17 crackers. I have never had them get stuck. You should try them.
  8. So far so good. Today I had only one meal. Bc I wasn't hungry. I had prime rib at a restaurant with my dad. Ate 1/3 maybe. That meal was at noon. It's now 6 pm and I am just now feeling hungry. So, this may not be the green zone?
  9. Had fill yesterday, and now on solids. I ate a few bites and I was fine. Not wanting more. Not wanting to stick my finger in ranch. Not wanting a babybel cheese, and not wanting 15 crackers before I go to bed. Is this the green spot? I sure hope so! Ate lunch earlier. Smaller amount and went almost 6 hours with out being hungry.
  10. I lost 1/2 lb in 3 weeks. How depressing! Hoping to change this now. I'm hiring an assistant so I can go to the gym more!
  11. My surgeon told me to never take aspirin bc it can damage the band.
  12. Mine took 4 weeks to disappear.
  13. I had my first fill and appointment on January 13. Dr set 10 lb goal a month. When I weighed I was 2 lbs ahead of goal. But since then I have only lost an additional 2. I called to schedule my next fill early. I feel stagnant.
  14. I thought that too. I was so sad bc I thought I had to give up cooking. I have slowly found that I can cook. And it's ok. I don't have to hate food for this to work. I can love it and make better choices. I justify spending the extra money on the foods I want bc I know I will eat less and it will last longer! Lol. 2 weeks post op I made the best Paula Deen chicken soup. Left the noodles out and it was fabulous. Started with a whole chicken in boiling water. The old fashioned way. And I have not had fast food since November, 2013!
  15. Sea bass is expensive. $27 a pound here! But one lb lasts me 4 meals. That olive oil sounds great! I will check it out. Thanks.
  16. My dr has my goal at 10 lbs per month. And I thought that was low!
  17. I don't use sauces with my fish. My sea bass is pretty simple but very tasty. I put a wee bit of EVOO on it, then garlic powder and lemon pepper. That's it. Bake at 350 until done. I have only eaten in a restaurant twice since my sx (12/16). I prefer my own cooking. At least I know what I am getting. I have noticed my tastes in food have changed since sx. I used to love sushi and sashimi, and now I can't stand it. I do not crave red meat any longer, and was my staple Pre op. did you go through that?
  18. I usually drink the juice in the morning before I eat anything. It's made of kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber, lemon, and romaine. I don't think I eat quick fix meals. I spent 2 years in culinary school. I enjoy cooking. Which makes this band even more difficult. I usually prepare some Chilean sea bass and sautéed fresh organic spinach. I prefer fish over all other proteins. Maybe fish is too "slippery" of a food. When I eat chicken I feel not hungry for a long time. At least 4 hours.
  19. I order green juice from Juice Girl. Fresh organic. Good stuff. I only do this bc during the day I am always on the go, and I fear I am not getting my veggie intake when I eat bc I am focusing on protein. Is that wrong?
  20. I order fresh organic pressed juice locally in single daily servings in glass bottles. I drink my veggies! I love it. It allows me to EAT more protein and not eat the veggies! Look into your local juice market. A great solution!
  21. I mostly eat fresh fish and fresh organic veggies. The other night I had the min hides so bad I ate a small bag of Cheetos! Really? I never ate that shit before! Hate junk food!
  22. I called the dr. Going in next week for a fill and requested the fluoroscopy machine. They said yes It's the night time that gets me. During the day I am so busy I don't care if I am starving. Seriously. Night time I an starving and care! Lol.
  23. I had my first fill one week ago. Nothing! I'm going to call tomorrow for a recheck. Mornings I ave no issues. Afternoons I have no issues. After 4 I am starving. What to do.
  24. I was confused post op and on the 3rd day I removed the surgical tape on my incisions. I was so lucky that nothing horrible happened. They stayed closed and healed fine with clothing rubbing on them and everything.
