Hello Madamsoul, I would have been starting my preop diet tomorrow and having my surgery on 3/4 in Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. However, found out Friday that my insurance denied the hospital and wants the surgery done at Morristown Memorial. So now I'm meeting with a new surgeon tomorrow and who knows when I will have my sleeve now. Where are you having your surgery?

I was all set for my surgery which was a week away when insurance told me I had to have surgery in their center of excellence hospital. So.......I had to cancel everything and choose a new doctor who worked in their hospital. Anyway, I'm just curious to know if anyone has used Dr. David Ward, in Morristown, New Jersey, as their surgeon and what their experience with him was like. Thanks for your help.

Hey Karice, thanks so much. I had my psych evaluation last night. Wasn't so bad. A lot of personal questions. He more or less wanted to know if I was ready for this and I definitely am. Then he gave me a 165 questions quiz. Did you have your surgery yet? I'm scheduled for 3/4/14.

@Southernsoul, Survived the psych evaluation!! It was just as you said and at the end I had a quiz with 165 questions which will help the doctor and his staff know how to treat me, so the psychologist said. Thanks again for the info!!

@SandeeD....Just saw your post and also have the lower back pain that cripples me on some days. Also, my right knee has a tendency to lock up sometimes and scared me one day when it happened on the stairs. So I feel your pain. I honestly can't wait to have my surgery which is scheduled for March 4th. Good Luck to you!!

Being laid off won't have any impact on my surgery. My insurance is through my husband so I am lucky there. My last words to my boss were, "if you do call me back, make sure it's after March so it won't interfere with my surgery". LOL March 4th seemed so far away when I first spoke to my surgeon in September. I honestly can't believe how fast time is going. On my third visit with nutritionist and 3 more to go. Time is flying by!

I'm scheduled for my sleeve on March 4, 2014. Can't wait but am also having some anxiety, especially after being laid off yesterday. I guess I should just consider it a blessing to have a longer recovery time instead of only a week.
