  1. I was sleeved on the 17 and I can't stop burping/hiccupping. I hurts so bad in my stomach. My entire body jumps. I'm so ready to see my doctor after Christmas. My mouth stays sooo dry, I just feel miserable. I have such a nasty taste. When will I be back to normal? I'm so hungry
  2. Hello Ga. Peaches!!! I am now on the loser bench. I was sleeved on the 17. I must be honest and say the pain was so bad and still is that I was starting to regret I had done this to myself. I've had two c sections and the sleeve was worst. On the pre op I had lost 15 pounds, which was GOOD I cheated a little on that. I would have one small salad with chicken and light dressing from chick fil a, but still had my protein shake twice a day. For those that are still waiting to get sleeved, walking does help move the gas out. You may only burp instead of passing gas, so brace yourself when you burp because even that small burp is going to hurt. Everyone is different but this is major surgery so there will be pain. Don't go in thinking I'm going to bounce back once I wake up in recovery. Good luck!!!
  3. My surgery was delayed until 5pm. I didn't get out of recovery until 11pm. I have been in sooo much pain and discomfort. I too passed my swallow test but I'm just ready to feel better.
  4. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THAT IS BEING SLEEVED TODAY. THIS IS A NEW BEGINNING FOR US. WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. We will be in pain together and losing together. And good luck to all future sleevers.
  5. What time is your surgery set for. The colon cleanse was the worst. I didn't finish all mine, I had about two cups left and I fell off to sleep (head was hurting). It was just too nasty. I think my taste buds have already changed. My surgery is set for130, I'm very nervous. I know it's just anxiety and we are going to be just FINE.
  6. This is too funny...there is hope.
  7. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY. Full of anxiety of the unknown, prayerfully all goes well. :-)
  8. No, I have not asked about the motrin. I just don't want to spend the money on the medicine and only use it once or never. Once you buy, you can't take back if I never use it. The medicine for pain is a narcotic that the CVS and Walgreens don't supply, so I dropped the Rx off at a local pharmacy a week ago and they haven't called me yet to say it has come in...smh. Thanks for the advise though.
  9. Thanks for responding...I have some suppositories for nausea from nasal surgery, mag. citrate and I will get some motrin liquid 800mg, i normally have a high tolerance for pain. I may get the heartburn meds, that's it. Thanks again
  10. My doctor prescribed me five different meds all costing almost hundred dollars. Will I need all the medication...the nausea meds, the pain meds and the medicine to clean your colon. Can't magnesium citrate do the same thing or castor oil. I know that sounds silly but I'm not into taking a lot of medicine plus some of those things will cause constipation and they are too high. This is with insurance.
  11. I'm next Tuesday and I have so many missed feelings. I'm scared to be in pain and something goes wrong.
  12. Good question, my surgery date is this Tuesday the 17 so I'm really concerned if I will gain my weight back.
  13. Thanks everyone, I know whatever I say I'm going to be judged. Judged for trying to better myself in losing weight or judge because I was approved to have so much time off. Either way they're going to say something. I am thinking about the hernia repair or gallbladder surgery. I have to come up with something with all the time I'm having off...Women can keep up SO much mess.
  14. Ok, next week is my surgery date and I have not mentioned anything to my co-workers that I will be out for two and a half weeks. I work at a lab and it's only three of us in the office, they will get some help, but what do I say when I come back. What did you say?
  15. Hey, who is your doctor? I will be sleeved on the 17 of the this month. I'm very excited and nervous.
  16. You have every reason to be pumped...you look GREAT.
  17. I totally understand you. I provide the food in my home but knowing they are able to eat something else does bother me. My surgery date is the 17 and I don't understand why a small salad would be a problem. I think one meal a day without the carbs should not hurt anything.
  18. NO POPEYES!!! Say it ain't so, another place I'm going to miss here in Stockbridge, Ga. Congrats on your improvements.
  19. Wow you look great. It doesn't look wiggie at all.
  20. I KNOW...too funny. I went to Piccadilly, smh.
  21. I got my surgery date, I GOT MY SURGERY DATE....I'm so ready to be on the losing bench.
  22. I finally got my approval and my surgery date. Now I'm so nervous, starting the liquid diet tomorrow. Bye bye food, and hello to my new lifestyle. On a road to feeling better, looking better having energy, and having more confidence with my look. Thank God for this opportunity.
  23. Has anyone used Body by Visalus protein powder while on the liquid diet?
