  1. Bufflehead, did you find you lost more weight out of the gate, staying on liquids longer than 2weeks?
  2. Notsotall, I have the same lift restrictions, can't wait until I'm cleared to work out with my trainer again
  3. My NUT told me I should be at 900 calories at this point and I thought she was crazy:) they want me t 1200 calories by the solid food phase. Anyway, my calories increased to 1000, now that I'm focusing on getting my protein in. 2scoops of whey is 340 calorie. I'm hoping the gradual increase in calories will break this stall I'm in. My protein requirements re 60-80grams daily and I'm on the upper end of protein as I add it to everything
  4. Belunos, Congrats on breaking through that stall.im still in mine at week 3
  5. I know we all have different doctor's orders, but I'm curious....how many calories wEre/are you eating at 3 weeks post op on purred phase? Do you increaSe your calories if you workout?
  6. Jong, I buy it at Walmart. It's called Body Fortess super advanced whey protein, I get it in chocolate & vanilla. Then I buy my unflavored from GNC and it's for Bariatric patients
  7. Jlong007, I start my day with scrambled eggs with cheese 1/2cup, then I sipped on a protein shake ALL day with 2scoops of protein it's 60grams, then I had Wendy's small chili and added 1/2scoop unflavored protein powder This gave me 84 grams, 64 was a typo
  8. I'm 3 weeks post op and haven't been able to hit my protein goal of 60-80grams. Well yesterday I made it!! Got in 74grams and felt great all day, wasn't hungrier than normal.....just had to share
  9. Jujube, my people won't allow caffeine until ay later, every program i SOOO different
  10. Big Girl Panties,Thx, I just bought cauliflower today and am going to try it....yum, I'm ready for a little variety
  11. Mcbutterpants, My poke feels exactly as you describe but on the right side
  12. Just to let you know, I just added 1/2cup unflavored protein powder to the chili and blended it together and it made it a little thicker than just running the chili through the blender
  13. Miss Mac, how much protein powder to peaNut butter ratio do u use?
  14. Ran my first attempt ate Wendy's chili through the blender and while it looks disgusting, it tastes amazing!! My NUT said no tomato sauce until mechanical soft, but I couldn't wait, so sick of scrambled eggs.....anyway Y, taking it slow and listening closely to my body
  15. Yes my husbaNd is a stick, can eat whatever he wants, get on the treadmill once a year and still just weighs 160
  16. Teachamy, did u blend your cottage cheese while on oureeds?
  17. Thank you everyone!! I'm just a really impatient person, something God is working on in me.....I know losing 140lbs isn't going to happen overnight, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I wish it did
  18. Sassy pants, Why do these stalls happen?
  19. So I started at 314, now down to 274, but the scale has stopped moving completely. I've been at 274 for over a week and I'm soooo frustrated. I only weigh myself on Friday mornings.....how long does this stall last? I'm cleared to start working out again on Monday, can't wait and hoping that will help
  20. Passent, I can have potatoes on my diet. I think everyone's surgeon's requirements are way different
  21. Mcbutterpants, Good points, thx! The only serving size I was given was 1/2 c scrambled eggs is fine. And eat 3 meals and 2 snacks and I should be eating 900 calories T this point. Now I've had more of my protein shake today and I'm not hungry at all tonight, which up to today I would be super hungry at this point, so I think protein intake is my key
  22. Oh and I can't have peanut butter yet
  23. Lipsticklady, Yum I will try those suggestions. I can't have beans, not tolerating them at all. My NUT said today actually that 1/2 cup cooked scrambled eggs is appropriate at this time and it doesn't feel like too much, so I will go with that
  24. I can have mashed potatoes on pureeds, I can only eat 1-2 bites. You will catch a lot of hell on here if u talk about eating potatoes but that's ok. If your NUT says its ok, then go for it. I enjoyed my first couple bites but caught all kinds of grief on here when I posted my excitement. Personally, I won't be eating them frequently but that's my personal opinion, not my surgeons etc. good luck and enjoy
  25. Dragonsmate, Excellent points....and good reminder about nerves etc. I tend to forget and want to be more advanced than I am, it's my downfall. What are you eating on pureeds? I would live some new ideas I'm living on scrambled eggs with melted cheese.
