  1. You look great!
  2. I agree with everything BandterHopeful just wrote and that is the very reason why I chose Dr.Joya. He has a lot of experience and has been doing the surgery for some time. I have talked to some of his patients on the phone that are 3 and 4 years out. No problems and they have met their goal weight. I think that they are doing well because they were instructed to find follow up care before scheduling the surgery just as I was instructed. I left MX with a whole new perspective. It was an awesome experience that I would not trade. The office helps find you follow up care and and give a lot of information to help the band be the best TOOL it can be. My doctor in the states brags about how my port placement is so text book and a easy stick. My advice is research...research....research...
  3. I Also Used Dr. Joya. I Loved Everything About My Experience They Really Take Care Of You From Start To Finish And Puerto Vallarta Is A Very Nice Place. I Would Do It All Again. He Was Great. I Actually Wish He Was Closer So I Could Get My Fills With Him. But Oh Well. Mexico Is A Long Way From North Carolina.
  4. Dont beat yourself up too much... If at first we dont achieve try try again... You can do this!!! Start over. Good Luck.
  5. Wow! I am so excited for you. Keep us posted.
  6. I had my surgery in Mexico. My doctor was Dr. Joya and this is not a phony post. I actually had a great experience and when I returned to North Carolina for my follow up my doctor was amazed at how text book they did everything. He had no trouble with finding the port and he also commented on how great my scars look. I would go to Dr. Joya again without a second thought.
  7. I was told three hours before no solid food, but everyone is different.
  8. Congrats! Nothing but pounds to lose now!!!

Good Advice I go tomorrow for my first fill I hope all goes well. Thanks Ladies.
  10. I feel the same way at times. It has been 6 weeks for me and I have only lost 18 lbs. I read others progress and it seems like they are ahead of the game and I am way behind.
  11. I would. Plus call your doc tomorrow. Dont worry it will get better. Try warm tea or broth.
  12. I had alot of shoulder pain also. Are you sure it is time for you to be on your mushie stage. I was on clear liquids a week, then full liquids a week and then the third week I could slowly introduce mushies. I also got pain when I drank too fast because it trapped addl air which was painful to burp. One thing I do know if you move through your stages too fast it will hurt you in the long run so take slow.... Each day will get better.
  13. I agree with everyone else. You can always start over and dont be so hard on yourself just recommit. You can do this
  14. Hi everyone I am back and everything went better than I could have imagined. I have not had any pain and I am already back to normal. No one knows I had anything done but a select few so I am very pleased with my recovery. I was even able to get through the clear liquid stage without hunger. I am now on full liquids. Thanks for all of your prayers, I know that was a big part in making this process easier.
  15. Dont be afraid think positive. I am scheduled for surgery on April 20th. I am just believing all will be well with me. This is something we deserve! May you be Blessed.
