  1. I love (LOVE!) Chike. I have it every morning. I also like unjury chocolate splendor, but only have that on rare days when I need 2 Protein shakes.
  2. My carbs tend to be about 50 per day. I'm truly not watching them all that much. I am more focusing on protein and then veggies. My carbs are coming from veggies, protein shakes, and vitamins.
  3. I have those same little bowls from target! It makes serving my meals so much easier. When I use regular size plates / bowls I over serve myself.
  4. Protein protein protein. I really make sure to focus my food on protein.
  5. Wow a half marathon! That is great - good job!. I ran three miles straight on Wednesday which was amazing. I might try to do a half in the fall. It feels great to be stronger.
  6. I'm 5'10. I know I'm a ways away. I was at 195 about 12 years ago and was in a 12/14. I know I can get smaller than that, but it is still hard to imagine. Looking forward to the ride.
  7. I am concerned my goal is unreasonable. It changes a bit, but really I was hoping to be about 170. I'm trying not to stress about it, the numbers are dropping and things are going well. I will have to see where things end up. Really I would like to be able to shop at any store and not have to worry about them having my size. That would be glorious.
  8. I second what buffleheads says. Every morning I look at myself in the mirror in just my bra and undies. I smile at myself and tell myself how good I am doing. I am taking notice of the small things, my stretch marks getting smaller, my chin and cheeks coming back. I am also enjoying the big. Things: feeling stronger and healthier. It is easy to see all of the stuff that isn't perfect. We will never be perfect - even super models don't think they are perfect, so we need to enjoy our progress and make peace with our bodies. Enjoy what you can do today that you couldn't do yesterday.
  9. Today 236.5. 1.5 lbs to valentines goal!
  10. I am getting close to 800 calories per day. I really focus on Protein avg 60-80 g / day.
  11. I'm 7 weeks out and doing lots of cardio. I ran 3 miles yesterday. I'm also doing spinning and playing ice hockey. I started doing yoga as well each is great. I have been working out almost every day. I think I may be replacing my food addiction with exercise, but that may be ok. Once I see my surgeon on Monday I am hoping to be released to start lifting weights. Then I will add that in about 2 days per week. My doctor said I was free to do cardio as long as I was not hurting. I worked up slowly with walk / running and my strength has really come back well.
  12. My slow cooker has become my best friend. The meat becomes so soft that I have not had trouble with anything. I love Asian food, so have done those types of recipes, but there are so many recipes out there, just do a search online.
  13. Finally got home. Weight is 240.2 I am hoping I. Am retaining some water from the flight which will quickly go away.
  14. I am not home. I won't be able to weigh until Sunday. Good job everyone!
  15. I noticed the same thing when I first started working out after surgery. I think there are a couple things going on . 1). You are probably slightly dehydrated, so your body won't put out as much sweat. 2). When you are out of. Shape your body doesn't react as quickly - you cooling system is out of shape, so you won't sweat as much. After about 4 weeks of exercising and getting my Water in, I have started sweating again like crazy during hard workouts.
  16. I'm going out of the country at 6 weeks out. I have packed my Protein powder( and magic bullet), but am planning on getting most of my nutrients from food. I really have not had any problem with any food that I have introduced. I am moving into the full healthy diet this week. I have yet to try raw fruits and vegetables, so that is still questionable.
  17. I love Chike. It is fantastic. I get it through amazon.
  18. Sw: 256 Week 1: 249 Week 2: 244.2. Gw: 235 or below Woohoo! Keep up the good work everyone!
  19. I love love love chike coffee flavor. I also use unjury chocolate splendor. I like the nutrition facts better for unjury, but I so look forward to my coffee shake every morning form chike.
  20. I weigh everyday that I am at home. So lately it is everyday. Once I go back to work, it will be only Fridays - Sundays. I think it helps for motivation and correction if things start to get off track. We have all been through weight loss so many times that we understand that weight fluctuates because of many things, so I will just need to keep this in mind when things go in the wrong direction.
  21. Where do you buy this? Do they call it spaghetti squash in the supermarket?
  22. Awesome thanks!
  23. Thanks. I have been doing crock pot cooking lately. I'm not sure how well that food would freeze and reheat. I guess I should give it a try.
  24. I'm on soft foods. By the time I go back to work, I will be on full healthy diet.
  25. Hi everyone! I am going back to work soon, and I travel a ton for work. When I get home on Thursday night I need to get myself dinner, and Breakfast and lunch for Friday without having time to get to the grocery store. I don't like to buy fresh ingredients that won't be eaten on the weekend because they are usually very sad by the time I get home. Do you have any recommendations for good freezer or cupboard staples that I could use, or refregerator items that will last several weeks? Because I work and travel so much I often fall into the trap of convenience / take out. I want to make sure this doesn't happen again so getting the house stocked with things that I can fix easy will be key. Thanks for any recommendations!
