I was sleeved 12/18/13. Not sure if I made the best decision. I am in a lot of pain. Can barely drink water. I can't talk to my family because I don't want them saying I told you not to do it. I had a few sips of chicken broth today. Jello sf is too sweet. I need help

****need guidance**** So I am getting sleeved on 12/18. 48 hrs from now I will be starting my new journey in life. Reasons for me getting the sleeve: my mother has high blood pressure and keeps having strokes. My grandmother (mom side) also has a stroke and a diabetic. My dad has high blood pressure. I don't want to follow so I figured the next step is to get the weight off. I don't like the way I look in clothes. I don't feel I dress for the age I am. Ladies, you know the bigger you are the more you start dressing like a grandmother... I don't want to dress that way! **********Things going on in my head: I feel I have an angel and devil starting inside of my head! the angel (skinny girl in me) is pushing me forward and on goal (obeying my pre-op diet) and reminding me why I am doing this process. The devil (fat girl) is telling me to cancel the surgery and stay fat, and to eat all the bad stuff I can and have been eating. I will not lie I love bread, rice, and pasta. And I think the fat girl don't want to give it up. But I know it will help me get weight I want to be at. I am 236-244 lbs (my weight fluctuates). I know I don't need to eat them but the tastes so good. I am scared of the new journey but I know if I don't force myself to get the surgery I will be in the same weight class I been in with no change. My self-esteem will be the same place! Did anyone else feel this way?

I started my pre-op diet! I am being sleeved on 12/18. The only issue I have is drinking the Protein drink!!! What can I do to make it better! I am so tired of drinking the chocolate flavor. #please no crazy comment #just trying to get help me complete my required amount

I am so excited! I was approved today and surgery will either be next Tuesday or Wednesday !!! Starting my preop diet tomorrow!

I have a date but Aetna is still in the process of approving me. Praying to the God above I get the operation on that date!!!

Yes!!!! My paperwork was assigned to a case worker on 11/22 and now playing the wait game! Hopefully I can hear something this week!!!

In 2005 I got the birth control shot and picked up 100 lbs in 1 year. Plus since my appetite increased I of course ate more! Now I just can't get rid of the weight. I am married and have a 2 yr old son. My parents have high blood pressure. My mom and grandmother both had strokes. So getting this weight off and wanting to eat better is a priority for me. I am so scared I will have one. I started this process in June 2013 and now waiting for Aetna to approve me! I pray I can get this surgery by the end of the year.

Insurance: Aetna Pos II My BMI for the past 5 years has been over 40 I have completed the doc visits, upper gi, nut visits (all 4), psy visit. My doc office submitted my paperwork for 2 wks and they finally received it last week. I just wish they approve me so I can hopefully get this done by the end of the year

Oh wow!!! Is your bmi over 40 or was it under 39 with another issue?

My doctor office submitted my documents last Wednesday and I called Aetna but they cannot locate my paperwork! And my doctor office submitted 3 times! I am getting a little frustrated because I want the insurance company to at least have it and working on my pre-certification. Did anyone else have this issue!
