  1. It's wondering if any of you have had the bubbleguts since surgery. I am 6 days post-op and have basically been drinking all my water that I need and slowly adding a bit of protein in my diet. Ever since this change has happened my stomach has been nothing but upset. It feels like I want to have diarrhea, and I might have a little bit of gas, but nothing comes out. I just don't know if these pains/bloating was normal. I've had no nausea or vomiting. Has anyone else felt this?
  2. I was just wondering something. I was able to start on full liquids yesterday and I tried an Atkins shake. It really upset my stomach. Was it too much too fast? Has anyone come out of the surgery lactose intolerant? How did you transition from clears to full liquids?
  3. Hi all you sleevers! I just have to say that I am feeling pretty good about having the surgery. In the hospital, when I was coming out of sedation, and they had me on the pca pump of dilaudid I did not pee on my own. They had to cath me 4 times and it wasn't until they took me off of it that I went on my own. Did anyone else have this trouble? I'm going good now. I also seem to be doing well with drinking. So far I've had Water, sugar free Popsicles and Jello, broth, and sf Vitamin water. When you went and started adding Protein to your routine did you hit your goal of what you should have right off the bat or did you do it gradually? What is the beat Protein shake to go with? I have the Atkins shakes for now, but I want to get the best stuff? How long did the pain last for? I feel like it's getting better, and I want to get off of the Tylenol with codeine. It tastes horrible and it's bad for you. Anyway, if anyone has any insight for me, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  5. Hi! I am 4 days post op and I take a medicine called Amitiza for chronic constipation. It is not a pill that can be crushed. Does anyone have any ways to battle the constipation?? I mean, I did a pre-surgery diet called opti-fast before the surgery. Now since it I have been on clears. I have only had Water, and applesauce with my medicines. Of course I got my period the day I was leaving. I'm just wondering what you think I should do or if anyone else has had this. Thanks!
  6. I did that! Plenty of times! Yay for dilaudid!

  8. I'm doing okay, just having a lot of pain. No nausea or vomiting at all!
  9. I am day two post-op, hopefully going home today. I'm doing pretty well with nausea and vomiting, considering the fact that I haven't had any. I'm just in a whole lot of pain. Will it subside a little when the drain comes out? Just wondering. Thanks!
  10. I totally understand your keeping it a secret, because I did at first. Then I started telling people and I feel like people started coming out of everywhere telling me about people that were super successful with it and they were really excited. It's awesome to have online support, but it's really cool to have your friends and family in your corner rooting you on to succeed. Just ease into it, but don't keep it a secret. It builds confidence and brings support

  12. Nope. I almost wish that I did! I had to take two weeks of opti-fast though. Which is supposed to clear your bowels, but barely made me go at all. I have bad issues with that anyway. So, no. Anyone ever have issues with this before surgery??

  16. I'll be the first case tomorrow morning! I'm so siked! Anyone have any advice for me? Maybe what I should expect? I've never had surgery before and I can't wait.
