  2. I'm also getting my surgery done on May 22. I have cleaned my house and did my laundry, did my shopping for my Clear liquids after surgery. Now I'm just dealing with my nerves. Beth
  3. Wow you have lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks that is great. I have my surgery on May 22 and I'm have to be above 35 BMI and I'm getting real close to 35. I'm at 36 right now so that has my nerves and anxiety levels really high right now.

  6. banffbuck I started off on the Whey protein drink and then someone in our support group said to try the Premier protein drink. It is 100% better tasting you can buy them at Sam's club or I have seen them at Kroger. I would check out your local wal-mart and your local stores to see if they carry them.
  7. I understand I have my surgery on May 22 so im 5 days out. My nerves and my anxiety levels have been very high. I was told at my last Dr's visit to watch how much im losing because I have to stay above 35 BMI or I can't have the surgery and I'm really close at 36 BMI so I have that to stress me out to. I think everything well be much better losing the rest of my weight.
  8. With your cpap are you using O2 with it. If I don't wear mine I drop down into the 70's 02 sat.

  13. Hello go to your settings its the wheel (it looks like a wheel with spikes) by your log in name and go to my tickers and then it will walk you though the set up process. Beth
  14. Hello I have 2 questions How are you doing and how much have you been able to lose in the past month. 2) what is the mash stage and what kind of foods are you allowed to eat. Thanks Beth
  15. My doctor started me on 3 Protein shakes a day since I started seeing him and that has been in December. I did have to lower my protein diet because I went into stage 4 renal disease. I was down to 2 shakes a day and one small meal for about 2 months until I was back into stage 3 renal disease. I am having my surgery on May 22 so 2 days before surgery I start a clear liquid died. It has been hard and I have cheated on it cause I would get so starved that I would eat some chicken breast which my doctor told me I could. Beth
  16. Hello My Doctor is starting me on it as soon as I am discharged from the hospital.
  17. It really bothers me when people say that its the easy way to lose weight. I always tell them that this is not a easier way out. I tell them all that you have to go though just to have the surgery. See your Dr. once a month for 6 months. Being on 3 Protein shakes a day for 5 months when I would have loved to have real food. I only have two family members that are on my side. The other family members say "If your losing weight why do you want to have the surgery". I tell them that I have lost weight so many times I've lose count. Then I gain it all back and more as soon as I go off the diet. I say the surgery is a tool to help me not gain the weight back. I have friends say that I'm looking good and I have lose 70 pounds put that is just a start. I'm to the point I don't care what people say to me about the surgery in the end its my choice and I have made up my mind about having it. I have the surgery in 6 days.
