  1. I absolutely love these before and after pics. I always get goose bumps, but just cannot imagine me loosing all that weight. My surgery is 11/22. Thanks for giving me hope!
  2. You look fantastic! As a pre surgery person, you are an inspiration. It's amazing! The pics do not even look like the same person!
  3. It is very exciting. I know what you are talking about. Once you get a surgery date you will want to shout with a bullhorn! I'm happy for you.
  4. I have many...the final ones were...having to ask for a seat belt extender on a flight. The flight attendant returned with it and in a loud voice asked if I knew how the extender worked. On same flight, the man sitting next to me asked if he could move, stating he needed more room. On that same trip, my pants split wide open in the back, exposing my pink underwear. Breaking a chair on the beach. And, of course, wearing a swim suit on the beach. Almost missing a connecting flight cause I could not walk as fast. Needless to say, the trip ended up not too fun. Another one, my ex husband (he is ex for lots of reasons) at a family dinner took a piece of cake away from me, stating I did joy need it. Not being able to walk with my husband and dogs. The list could go on for ever, but I'll stop here.
  5. I'm not sleeved yet, will be on Nov 22. This thread gives me 1 more thing to look forward to!
  6. Thank you. I thought these might be normal feelings! I start preop diet in a week and a half. Kind of strange that I'm sort of looking forward to getting the show on the road!
  7. You look great! When I see these pics, they give me hope. I'm scheduled 11/22 and I worry I will not be successful. I think I will be, but have not been able to lose weight in so long, that's why I have doubts.
  8. You ladies look fantastic! My surgery is Nov 22. Of course, I do not know what I'll be feeling when I look as pretty as you! I hope I will love the smaller sizes. We shall see.
  9. I wish I did! Surgery is 11/22. I hope to have some that size one day!
  10. Congratulations! My surgery date is 11/22. A couple of suggestions that sped up my process. Number 1...develop a great relationship with you coordinator! I did not trust fax or mail. I hand carried a lot of stuff...info from PCP, cardiologist, etc directly to my coordinator. I made copes of every thing before I delivered original. You just have to stay on top of everything, without being pushy. Hope this helps.
  11. I cried when I read your post! I have goose bumps typing this message. I am so happy for you. Your pre op story sound like I wrote it. My date is Nov 22. If I can be half as successful as you, I will be so happy. Thanks so much for sharing.
  12. You look fantastic! You are beautiful!
  13. Fabulous! What an inspiration. I wish you much continued success.
  14. I love, love, love cottage cheese with diced tomatoes. Canned are fine. That's if you can handle the acid. Just a few and a little of the juice really flavors the cottage cheese...and I add salt, pepper and a little garlic powder. Yum, yum.
  15. Wow! What an inspiration! I'm same height and starting weight, but at least double your age. I would swear those are pics of two different people. You look fab! Congratulations!
  16. Thank you everyone for your encouraging words. I'm glad that some of these feelings are normal. I'm really trying to look on the positive side...like going to the beach next year and hopefully getting a swimsuit in a regular size! I really dislike the term plus size! Thanks again, my friends.
  17. I am curious if anyone has experienced this. I'm scheduled to be sleeved Nov 22 and am thrilled. We all know what work it takes to get approval! I've done a lot of thinking, perhaps excessively, about how I got to this weight. I'm disappointed in myself. I'm sad I've missed out on so much, because of being tired all the time, which is perceived by others as lazy. I'm embarrassed about my weight. I flew 2 weeks ago and had to ask for a seatbelt extender. Also, my pants I had on split wide open in the back. No telling how long before my daughter noticed. Thank goodness she had a jacket....that barely tied around my waist. Basically, I've been thinking of what being overweight has been like...miserable. I'm trying to be positive and think about how it will be. Is anyone else feeling this way?
  18. Hi! I'm from Memphis and being sleeved 11/22. Would live to hear of your Memphis experience!
