Is it bad to think of selling your child for a tortilla chip?
I dont understand the dieting right before surgery. Dont all docs/ins companies require 3-6 months of med managed weight loss before surgery? I had to see a NUT weekly, show proof of an exercise program (she reviewed the past week on my pedometer), go on a prescription for phentermine, weigh in weekly, etc etc. I had to do just 3 months, and I lost 30 lbs (286-256). The only thing I had to do pre-op was NPO after midnight the night before.

CHEAP SF Torani Syrup!
Ugh! Too late!! Brown sugar cinnamon was one of the ones I bought! Also choc, peppermint, raspberry, and caramel (not the classic).

CHEAP SF Torani Syrup!
Just paid $4.19 per bottle for the 750 ml Torani at WEBstaurant.com. It was nearly half the price of the Torani website, and at least $2.00 cheaper than anything I saw on Amazon. It ships out of Pennsylvania.

What are the best low sugar, high protein bars that actually taste good?
I use the pure protein bars, and like the peanut butter one the most. Chocolate after that. I don't really care for the others. They hardly have ANY sugar alcohols: 200 calories, 6 sugar alcohols, 20 grams of protein. I've looked at EVERY other bar in EVERY other store I frequent, and I can't find ones as good as these.

Some advice please
I use a baby spoon too, and a sippy cup!

calories
I'm three weeks out today, and I'm eating 600-750 per day. No more than one 10 oz protein drink per day.

Smooth Recovery? Anyone?
Another easy ride here. My date was Oct 15, so i will be three weeks out in three days. I get in all of my meds and Vitamins, exceed my Protein using only one 10 oz p drink per day, and have three square pureed meals of 4 oz per day and a snack or two. Im slightly under fluids each day (drink 40-50 oz of Lifewater), but am not dehydrated. Walking 3-5 miles per day, and doing normal chores. Today, I'm painting outside window frames!!! Fyi, my go-to meals are soft boiled eggs or egg salad, pureed chicken and hummus, pureed tuna and mayo, thick Soups with added chicken, homemade chili, greek yogurt, baby oatmeal, cups of skim milk.... Great tip- when you are thirsty after you eat, but its too soon to drink, eat a sugar free popcicle!

Gallbladder!

What's the story behind your profile name?
By the way, we don't call it a "hooker" name; we call it a "drag" name. And mine is "Freddie Elk!" My wife's is awesome: "Brandy Redberry"

What's the story behind your profile name?
"outwithbenjiboi" is a handle I've used since 2005, when I came out of the closet to my family, friends and colleagues as a genderqueer, masculine-identified butch. "Ben" is the "boy/boi" I should have been, and the name of my inner child that I'm re-parenting into the strong butch that I am today. Benji -- the nickname for young Ben -- has been busting "out" in myriad ways my entire life. This surgery is just one more way that's happening. And my handle is the way I continually give credit to Ben for his courage and for all of the decisions that have made me whole. Everyone calls me "JB:" initials that stand for my given name + my chosen name -- "J"en/"B"en. Hope this doesn't blow too many minds.....
