  1. I would make it with milk then when it was well blended I would use it to make tomato or split pea soup. A power house of protein.
  2. I needed the support, just knowing someone was close by was helpful. That being said I did get annoyed and testy at times but my support people understood and took it with a grain of salt.
  3. I use a sugar scrub made with cocoanut oil everyday when I shower it keeps my skin from drying out. I make my own found recipe on Pinterest.
  4. I am three months post op sleeved oct. 29, 2013. My surgery weight was 239 my current weight is 193.
  5. I was being treated for apnea some years back. At that time I stopped using the Cpap because I had water come up and choked me. However when I started my WLS journey I had to be tested again and my apnea was Worse then before. My doctor told me that the hose is heated now to prevent the condensation from building up, which is why I had the water choke me. I went back on Cpap it took months to get use to it but I am glad I did because I feel so much better now.
  6. Very excited for you and how great is it that you found someone who has such a specialty for recovery. Jump in with both feet and have fun.
  7. I am dealing with the same issue, grazing all the time is to easy. I like Miss Mac approach. I think I am going to do this as well.
  8. Being able to walk up stairs without huffing and puffing! Bending down to tie my shoes! Fitting in a booth without my stomach pressing on the table! Shopping in the none plus size department (still can't wrap my head around it)! Having more energy!
  9. I did feel that way, but now I am so glad I did it. Wouldn't change a thing. I am losing a little every week and I am so happy. Some days are harder that others but over all it has been a positive change. I think your fears are normal.
  10. I try to weigh once a week and no more. So I don't see the fluctuations. I record it and move on. Sometimes I have to fight with myself not to get on it more.
  11. I have been getting very hungry within an hour of eating it is frustrating, I keep telling myself that I am thirsty not hungry which is true most of the time. I have to sip all day between meals to keep my stomach happy. I am eating 3oz at a meal and 3 meals and 1 to 2 snacks usually my Snacks are cottage cheese, cheese sticks or turkey bits.
  12. I was watching Dr. Oz today it was about anti aging and skin care. One of the things that was brought up was using a collagen supplement { collagen hydrolyzed } which is in a pill form. It helps the skin from the inside out. I figure it might be worth trying. 2 1000mg once a day on a empty stomach.

  14. Here in Oregon we have online swaps and online sale through Facebook. I have found a lot of clothes for reasonable prices.
