  6. If you are not doing any kind of exercising I would start walking. A little each day to build up endurance. Then start increasing the distance and time. Once you build a habit then start looking at other things, like bike riding, group classes such as zumba or jazzercise, maybe join a gym when your comfortable. Your also going to want to add weights to tone up. My nut stresses the importance of movement things like parking farther away from the store to increase steps all helps. Enjoy the journey.
  7. Glad your going to the doctor.
  8. I agree with Madam, it sounds to me like you are just enjoying being you and that is great. I have been married for 31 years and we have been through many seasons. Often times I have to step back and spend time alone. Sometimes I get so busy being us that you forget to be me. I have also been depressed for the past eight years and I know the feelings of sadness that comes with it. I also know the feeling of wanting to be isolated and for me its different than just needing to be alone. It sounds like you know the difference as well.
  9. Yep old habits are hard to change. I have noticed the saying "my eyes are bigger than my stomach" has a whole new meaning.
  10. I hear you sister. My fibro been through the roof lately. I feel like I take one step forward two steps backwards. Exercise helps, but a little to much and I down with pain. It's a delicate balance. Stress also plays a big roll.
  11. Nicely said Dooter, tough love that's what we all need. The hard truth. I am so grateful that you posted this.
  12. Congratulations! Welcome to bariatric pal.
  13. I too have horrible mood swings. I finally called my doctor and started therapy. It's to early to see results so I found that I just keep my distance from people which sucks but I can't tell when I will snap so it the best thing for now until they figure out what's wrong.
  14. So I have been in a stall for a few weeks and I have lost my focus. I am still exercising but for some reason I took a break from tracking and it has messed me up. So its back to the basics for me.
  15. Yesterday I ate one bite of lobster boy was that a mistake. It didn't even hit my stomach before coming up. On the bright side I wont be spending my money on expensive seafood again.
  16. Today's weight 183. I'm in a bit of a stall????
  17. I eat them now and then. They are good for breakfast.
  18. Seela great observation. I am currently in my first stall now I don't feel so bad about it.
  19. I am five months out and have had only a few bites of bread. It is way to filling for me. I love bread but I know it is a slippery slope for me so I avoid it.
  20. Thank you PdxMan for the great ideas. Love this post.
