  1. Me neither, I'm trying to stay true to this liquid diet. My daughter baked cookies yesterday to bring to her brother at college and left one on the cooling rack. It's still there, I think she was testing me.lol
  2. Tofu, I've tasted a lot of good variations of it. Has to be cooked right. I haven't figured it out yet, but I have no problem with meat. My daughter is a vegatarian and we always worried about her diet early on, her biggest issue was iron, but she does eat eggs. Good luck.
  3. My Nut says the isopure is lacking in carbs that I need and suggested mixing it with a pure fruit juice. I mix cranberry juice with the Fruit punch 8oz isopure and 4oz pure cranberry, it cuts the artificial sweetener taste and has a nice tartness to it.
  4. Thanks! Live in Western North Carolina, I'll look for it.
  5. Going in Monday as well for preop
  6. I like coffee. Never been more than two cups a day, but lately I've been drinking 2-3 shot 12oz latte's half in the morning and half in the afternoon. It's the only caffeine I drink and hardly have an issue cutting out the caffeine. My problem is finding a hardy decaf coffee that imparts good flavor in the grocery stores. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. My surgery is 11/12. I started a week early with my liquid diet. This will not be first as I lost a large amount of weight four years ago on a medically supervised 12 week liquid diet. So the six weeks (3 before and 3 after) don't seem so bad. I'm not allowed any solid food at all.
  8. Just got my date yesterday and I'm November 12 as well. Decided to start my liquid diet a week early so just completed week one.
  9. Sat by the phone, checked emails every 30 min. lol. Once I was approved then had to wait three agonizing days to be scheduled. Keeping busy works best.
  10. Isopure protein, clear flavored liquid (40g of protein in 16oz), mix with 8oz juice of your choice (for carbs). GNC sells it.
  11. Waiting as well, Submitted last Tuesday.
  12. Mine was over 500 questions, a half hour interview and then i had to interpret about 20 cliches. The testing did bring up some interesting things about me though, but nothing so serious as to delay the process.
  13. Just received "The Emotional First+Aid Kit" by Cynthia Alexander in the mail today. It was recommended by a number of people on this site.
  14. 5 surgeries in the past decade, never had tube in while is was awake. Expect a sore throat though.
  15. Yes being intubated during surgery can cause a sore throat. Mine lasted about four days with my hernia surgery.
