  1. Hello, I have the new AP lapband it holds 10cc. I have 5.5cc and finally have restriction. It took me three fills to get there. I hope this helps some. I know that for me I didnt lose anything until I had restriction. good luck melissa
  2. Hi, I just had my second fill last week. The first fill I had did nothing, I could still eat the same and had bread. I have a new AP band 10cc , my first fill was 1cc and the band came with 1.5 , my second fill the dr decided to be a little more agressive and did 2 cc and wow can I feel it. food really has to be chewed or it gets stuck. Hang in there , I know how you feel. Maybe your second fill will do the trick!! melissa
  3. Hello, I just had my second fill which brings me to 4.5 cc on the new AP lapband. I was wondering how many cc's until you all felt restriction? I know that everyone is different but I would be interested in knowing! Please RESPOND !!!!!
  4. I am not yet where you are but I was wondering when you have a fill do they draw it out do they see 9cc in the syringe. I was just wondering if you possibly have a leak? Good luck I will keep you in my thoughts. I also read that you can actually have a little more than 10cc in your band. I think you should ask your doctor about that too. Dont give up its going to work melissa
  5. The makers of the lapband have said that no carbonated beverages are allowed because it can cause slipage and a possible band replacement. Me personally I would never risk having it when my doctor and the makers both say its a big no no. Its just not worth it and if my band slips bad enough that I need a replacement my insurance wont cover it. the frozen idea sure does sound good .... melissa
  6. I think everyone is different. For me it was a more diffacult recover. I had a huge one and didnt know until they were doing surgery. I had alot of pain when I cam out of surgery. It was diffacult to breathe, I also had a little Fluid in my lungs. I ended up staying in the hospital 3 days when I thought I was going home in 6 hours. best of luck I am probably one of those weird cases!!! melissa
  7. I cheated on my pre op diet and was truthful and told the doctor, he didnt even say anything!!!! I then asked how many people did he or the other 5 surgeons in his office have trouble banding. He said only one person and it was a man. I am not saying cheat but remeber that there are alot of surgeons who dont have you go on any type of pre op diet so if you did cheat just get back on and do your best melissa
