  1. How are you Adri? Let us know how it went. I was feeling awesome day after until they let me go home, that's when pain skyrocketed.. Hope you're on a happier boat! I'm getting better now, struggling with my water intake though. Keep us posted! Hugs!
  2. Hi there Cindy, great news, congrats I am 2 days post op and it is getting better good luck!
  3. Hey, I just stumbled upon this YouTube clip and thought of your question about pre/post op neccesities http://youtu.be/dltmf4PaFPw
  4. Were almost surgery buddies! Good luck!
  5. Thanks! I am really amazed how uneventful the recovery is! I have 6 band-aids on my stomach instead of dressing
  6. Thanks, will do right now!
  7. Hi all, I'm back surgery went well and the pain is manageable thirst is killing me though... Can only drink 1 oz of water per hour. Good luck to all of you!!!
  8. I am feeling good, except pressure pain in the chest, around right boob... Could this be gas pain?
  9. I woke up at 3.30am, could sleep with all the anxiety... Its 5.30 now and I am going to take shower and leave around 7am. Surgery is 10am see you on losers bench!!
  10. I hear you, i have two 18 month olds... Definitely have somebody to help... You need to be careful with lifting and even with diaper changes when kids can kick you right in the gut.. I will have my husband helping as we'll as his mom, occasionally. Hang on there and good luck!
  11. Believe or not, I lost 4 lbs today sounds like I won't get too much sleep
  12. Oh my gosh, you look fabulous!!!! I wouldn't even recognize you!
  13. Alright, my turn tomorrow 10am looking back 6 months ago this day was in "far future" zone and now it's here I made it
  14. Ugh, so I had two 10oz bottles this morning and it started working within an hour and works until now! Anybody knows how long it's supposed to have effect on you? I really wanted to go out for a walk, but I cannot be in less than 10 yards radius from the restroom sorry if TMI
  15. Get my advice and get your psych eval ASAP. My insurance (BCBS) required 3 visits (interview, tests and final review) and it was spaced 2 weeks in between. Good luck!
  16. Go to "my bariatric pantry", they have bunch of sample packs to order, including shakes, soups, protein water, etc. fast shipping too.
  17. I'd go with sample kit anyway... In case you don't like one, you gave different options to pick from. I love my bariatric pantry, they have lots of sample packs...
  18. And good kitchen chopper for puréed stage... Hopefully you already have one
  19. Well, I got pre surgery shopping list from my surgeon office, it has- for the preop diet: magnesium citrate bunch off sf jell-o, Popsicles broth protein snakes in small varieties ( presumably your taste can change after the surgery ), protein water, etc. Antibacterial soap to wash stomach evening before and morning of the surgery; for hospital stay comfy and lose fitting clothes, Chapstick, toothbrush, toothpaste, pillow if you don't like hospital ones (very likely), phone w/ charger, comfy shoes, your feet may swell up, hairbrush, deodorant. Do not overpack, you'll be there around 24h and don't need a lot. As for after the surgery at home, I recommend kitchen scale, timer (for 30-30 rule), measuring cups... I bet your hospital will send you home with a list, do no worries I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!
  20. I use my bariatric pantry as well, the sample packs are awesome, indeed! I didn't want to order whole 12 pack of one isopure flavor, so I ended up going to GNC and getting one of each. Thanks for other links
  21. Ugh, it came highly recommended but I cannot stand this weird aftertaste Is there anything similar ( not shakes) with that much Protein that doesn't taste like poo?
  22. Hah, I hope I am zonked out as well! I hate, hate IVs
  23. Agree, I called to ask of they have all the papers they needed... At least I felt like I have some sort of control
