1. I've had 2 bouts with reactive hypoglycemia. One was from waiting too long to eat dinner and one was from having a migraine and not eating enough before I went to bed. No fun I have apple juice in my fridge so if i have a reaction I drink an apple juice and eat a hard boiled egg. A friend of mine does apple juice and a tablespoon of Peanut Butter. I'd love to hear what other people do as well.
2. If i've posted this before I apologize for repeating myself.. My son is accusing me of having a mid-life crisis... my new quote is it's not a mid-life crisis... it's a mid-life rebirth I'm going to be in my friend/co-worker's wedding next summer and I'm so excited... ironically she is a year younger than my oldest child... It's fun to hang out with a my young/youthful coworker/friends...
3. Mine went away and I really think it was due to too many tummy crunches. Trying to be an overachiever
4. I've had my bout of pain with the kidney stone. My gallbladder is long gone so hopefully I'll be OK. Glad you are feeling better!
5. for those of you that use Myfitnesspal, someone posted this on Facebook so i thought I'd share it here. I don't use it, but may start... http://www.dryadegar4life.com/using-fitness-pal-weight-loss-surgery/
6. Sorry for the detour in your journey. Especially that you have to quit school. I hope you are able to get back to school and complete your dream! I use to live in Houston, I'm really missing the heat right now! Here's to a new adventure in your life!
7. OH on a more positive note, I have fresh zucchini from my garden and i LOVE making zucchini noodles to eat with my protein. so YUMMMMMY! Last night I had teriyaki chicken with it. DELISH!
8. I can relate to the head hunger issue... it's raining it's blah ... i'm blah and have no motivation. My house is a disaster but I'd rather be outside... today I did a lot of snacky type stuff... all with in reason, but i probably wasn't really in need of eating. Hope the rain goes away soon!
9. Sore to the touch is NOT a good thing. maybe something is jammed up? Sounds gross but are you still regular? my Doc told me last week if i have ANY belly pain to call or go to the ER.... be careful yeah that is what I'm worried about. My doctor is an hour away so I really don't want to make that trek if I don't have to. I forgot to add that I am quite regular so I don't think anything is backed up. But I've been quite gassy as well.
10. Geeez need to watch that. how are you? better i hope. Feeling better now but my belly hurts, not sure if it's my muscles from exercising or my insides? a bit sore to the touch. I'll call the dr if it gets worse, but I have a check up on Wed with my pcp
11. had a scary night. Wasn't feeling well yesterday, headache, body ache, just over all blahness. Made sure I ate some dinner (albeit not a great one) and went to bed. Woke up at 2:30am with the shakes and cold sweats... stupid reactive hypoglycemia. Hubby got me some apple juice and then after about 20 mins I got up and ate a boiled egg and just slept the remainder of the night in the recliner. Got to remember to eat even when were are sick... :\ Hope i don't get sick much....
12. Kristi I can't see it what did it show?? scale finally hit 159
13. double posted from my phone...
14. Stepped on the scale 6 times this morning to make sure it wasn't teasing me. Everything else from here on out is the icing on my cake!
15. Well today is my surgerversary! Can't believe how far I've come in a year! Secretary at school decided I needed a new ID I see the doctor next week for my 1 year check up
16. So i've been doing research since having my kidney stone... apparently we are at risk due to the chemical make up of our urine after surgery... here's to drinking way more water!
17. Got a birthday party for my 6 year old today. Minecraft here we come lol. Funny story from one of my son's classmates. He's going to be a real ladies man. He was looking at my teacher id badges abs he did 2012? So I held it up to my face and did can you tell the difference? He said yes, you look younger in the pic. Lol too funny
18. I can't believe it's been a year for our group! I'm so proud of us! I can't wait for summer and more activities! I haven't made it to that normal BMI yet, but it's right around the corner! I may not hit it by my 1 year follow up but I'll hit it shortly there after! <3 you guys!
19. Yeah I'm worried that I'm not getting enough water in.
20. I was 42d... wearing a 38c now. They say I should wear a b but with the extra skin I like it a little bigger.
21. Any one had a kidney stone after surgery? I'm hoping it's just a fluke. Go in to have it blasted on Monday.
22. I just told my hubby the same thing yesterday. I wanted it to stay gone! Lol YES!! And it seems that the my typical 'meals' are no longer filling me up - so I am still hungry when I finish. I am trying to add fruit or vegis to my meals to help. I have not added any snacks or small in between meals. Started a couple of weeks ago, and that is when the scale stopped moving. I have only increased my calories by about 100 to between 800 - 900. With the amount of exercise I get you would think I would still lose, but this just feels different. I am so close to my goal - only 7 pounds to go! Having lost 193, you wouldn't think 7 would matter! Just made my appointment for my 1 year follow-up with bariatric specialist and the nutritionist. The appointment is on June 26th, we will see what they say. I have noticed this lately as well. It seems as though I eat more than i use to. I'm still losing so I'm not going to complain too much, but I liked eating like a bird But I think by the one year mark I'm supposed to eat a "normal" plate according to my nut. which is a protein, a starch, veggies, dairy and a fat... still feels like a lot of food at times though!
23. Charger ordered... plus a new purple band
24. I wanna go to South padre! Sigh I don't think I'll be back in texas this summer though. I haven't been on a bike in years. Wonder if I can still ride one? We live in hills so I'm afraid of that. ..
25. I misplaced the charger for my fit bit and haven't used it in forever. I should probably locate it. Lol I want to lose 6 lbs before my 1 year check up in July!
