  1. It's called bariatric chewable one a day. By procare health. I bought mine there but the website is procarenow.com
  2. I went to the doctor for my 6 week checkup today and I had lost 29 pounds. She said the average is 25-35 so I am just fine. I thought I was going to be one of those that haven't lost what the average people loss by this point. I started at 278. I also found a multi vitamin there that I only have to take once a day and it is small. I am so ready to hopefully get down another 25 pounds by Thanksgiving.
  3. I had surgery the 4th also. My doc cleared me to eat regular food already. I haven't had any problems as long as its not dry meat.
  4. It's kinda funny now I understand what they mean when they said "eat to live Not live to eat". It feels good to be able to sit around people and they eat 3x more than me and reality sets in that my plate use to look just like theirs a month ago. I have to remember to eat daily now. I don't miss overeating. I am so excited to be on the losing side now. Exercise is still not my best friend but I go to the ymca 3x a week. My nutritionist said little food in doesn't require a lot of exercise. More food more exercise. What exercise do you guys like? Treadmill is getting boring.
  5. Hey everyone that had surgery in September, how is everything going almost a month out. I had my surgery on the 4th and I am returning to work next week. I have lost a total of 25 lbs. I am going by the weight before the liver shrink diet. I am able to eat anything pretty much. I only threw up twice both when the chicken was too dry and reheated. When I get backed up, I found that eating a bowl of raisin bran cereal sends me to the restroom within 1 day. I bought me a few winter dresses several sizes too small and hope to be down at least another 30 lbs by Thanksgiving. (45 pounds would be even better) :-)
  6. Weight Loss Surgery For Dummies, Eating after weight loss surgery for dummies, Eating well after weight loss surgery, The complete idiots guide to eating well after weight loss surgery. These are just a few books that I have found good information in. I checked them out at my local library. Amazon sells them also. My surgery was 9/4/13.
  7. For me I ate some chicken today that was kinda dry and it didn't hurt going down, but when I tried to drink some water 30 minutes later the chicken and water came back up. It will find a way out if it can't go down. My surgery was 9/4/13.
  8. Thank you both. I was told to eat 4oz at a time 6 times a day. plus 64 oz of Fluid.
  9. Congrats I am glad you are on the post op side now. I feel good so far. I came home 9/6/13 after having surgery 9/4/13.
  10. I had my surgery on 9/4/13 and went home 9/6/13, I am feeling great. I am on the puree stage and I ate eggs, tuna, grits mashed potato, chicken breast and green beans so far. I found that skim milk gave me bubbles... I am doing good with fat free Lactaid milk with all my protein shakes. I was having a problem with water until today. Water was causing gas but I added apple juice to it and it goes down fine. I cannot tell when I'm full, so I only eat about 2 spoons of food at a meal. The sensitive nose has went away. I am driving as of Monday 9/9/13. So guys whats the thing to look for to tell if I'm full, so that I do not under eat? (I do not want to learn from throwing up first) And when do you get on the thread mill?
  11. I had my surgery on September 4th and came home September 6th. I am feeling good except having a hard time getting enough water in. But I'm going to keep trying.
  12. Congrats, i had my surgery on the 4th of September and just got home yesterday. I have No desire to eat ot drink. Everything smells too strong. I am not taking any of the pain meds. I feel ok just dont want to eat. I made myself drink on this same unjury protein shake since i got home yesterday but no appetite yet. Sipping some water.
  13. I am at the hospital now and they said my doctor has 2 surgeries before me today. I got here at 730. I am down to 264.9 from the liver shrink diet. Was 278
  14. Happy birthday and good luck with your surgery
  15. Today is my 35th birthday and my surgery is in 3 days. I hope the small piece of cake won't cancel my surgery.
  16. Did you lose only 5 to 7 pounds on the two week diet, or are they expecting bigger numbers? Should I do the liver cleanse lemonade detox or leave it alone. My surgery is Wednesday Sept 4th.
  17. I drank my first cup of Unjury chocolate splender shake yesterday morning at 9 am and I have not had an appetite since and I've been having diarrhea. I only ate a pear today and back to the restroom. Today is day 2 of the liver shrink for me. Has Unjury did this to anyone that you know? I drank the boost and glucerna premade shakes last week just to test them out and had no reaction.
  18. Sugar is down to 220 today.
  19. yes and I have tried doing to shakes with my meds and still too high. I will try doing the zumba dvd also these next two weeks.
  20. Maybe I'm too excited cause now everything is going against me. My blood pressure is running high. My blood sugar is 400 and I am not understanding this at all. I am 2 weeks away from my surgery date but with these high numbers the nurse said they will reschedule me when they test me the morning of the surgery if my numbers are not better. I just hope that I can still have my surgery on the 4th. I was at the YMCA yesterday on the tread mill and an alert came up on the screen saying my heart rate was too high. it was 167 after 15 minutes. I feel good, I don't feel weak or sick at all.
  21. Thanks I am trying to get it down quickly. I will try both of your suggestions.
  22. I went for my pre op blood work last week and my surgery is Sept. 4th. So the nurse called and said my sugar is 290 and needs to be down by the 4th or they will reschedule my surgery. UGHHH!!!! I am taking my meds and sugar is being so stubborn. Normally my meds work. I even increased the dosage. I do not want to go on insulin 3 weeks from my surgery. Maybe if I start the liquid diet a week early and do 3 weeks instead of 2 and add more exercise it will be down in time.
