how do you know if something didn't digest?

Im not really sure what it feels like or how to know if you can't digest something? Are they're certain foods any of you have a hard time digesting?

You will know if you cannot digest something because you will vomit and your belly will hurt and sometimes you may hurt across your chest! I personally cannot digest hamburger patties to this day and I'm 2 years post op. Also anything soft and doughy comes right back up. You will discover foods that work well and foods that you will need to stay away from. It's a process to find what works and what doesn't. Best of luck to you! ;)

For me I ate some chicken today that was kinda dry and it didn't hurt going down, but when I tried to drink some water 30 minutes later the chicken and water came back up. It will find a way out if it can't go down. My surgery was 9/4/13.
