  1. Well, sometimes things are just going too well! I have had the easiest time with my RNY. It is almost hard to believe that I had anything done! I have been working out every day, getting all my protein and water in, was back to work full time on Monday, losing weight and feeling great. Well, today I sure put a damper on my progress. I am an administrative assistant to the curriculum director at a school district (cool to see so many educators here!). Right now we are gearing up for teachers to be back in August. I was running around, busily getting stuff done, when the sandal I was watering caught on a rug and I fell, very hard, smashing my knee on the tile floor and my face into a concrete block wall. I have a knot above my right eyebrow and my right knee is very bruised and swollen. I pretty much ache everywhere. I am told tomorrow will be worse. To make matters worse, in the weeks since surgery I have never been so tempted to cheat. I would give ANYTHING for some ice cream! No exercise for me until at least Monday. I know it could have been so much worse, but I am still feeling sorry for myself.
  2. Monday I was up 1/2 lb. Went back down, but very frustrating. I have not had one day where I have eaten over 450 calories and I am working out nearly every day. My net calories are often under 100 calories. However, I think that Aunt Flow is preparing for a visit, I am blaming it on that - at least for now!
  3. I have only used the unflavored. I divide 1/2 a scoop between what I eat all day. I am only two and a half weeks out, and this has helped me get my protein in every day. I don't know how you would get there without a protein powder. Sorted mine off the web site.
  4. That is absolutely HORRIBLE!! I believe what 'goes around comes around'. If there is justice, whoever took it will get theirs! I will definitely be very careful. My rings don't hold a great monetary value, but I would be crushed if I lost them.
  5. Thank you so much for the information! I love this site!!!
  6. I am only a bit over two weeks out from surgery and have a long way to go. I lost 39 lbs prior to surgery and am currently down 55 pounds. My wedding rings are beginning to get too big. I don't want to take them off for over a year and I don't want to have them resized every few months. Anybody find a solution? THANKS!! Carol RNY 6/25/13; HW 330; SW 291; CW 275; GW 160
  7. I too seem to have stalled this week (Week 2). I hope it doesn't last long!
  8. I am not quite two weeks out and I am suppose to have 1 tablespoon of fruits or vegetables or a starch (pureed) with every meal. I have stuck to fruits so far. I always have watermelon on the 4th of July - I really missed it this year. I wasn't sure how it would puree. July 16 I advance to soft solids. I am looking forward to a little watermelon then!!
  9. I also love propel zero grape! 3 bottles a day, and I have my water in!! I have been switching back to regular water with a no cal flavor added - Desanni, Crystal light, etc. But I still get at least one bottle in every day.
  10. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Try to focus on the blessings (sounds as if your husband should be fine with time) and not dwell on the challenges. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - REMEMBER TO TAKE CARE OF YOU FIRST!
  11. Spent the afternoon at Mall of America! Was able to walk for HOURS! Felt so good to not have to sit out because my knees were bothering me. Just wanted to share a great day!
  12. I am doing two long walks a day - about 20 minute walks, but long for me! I am 8 days post-op. RNY 6/25/13; HW 330; SW 291; CW 281
  13. A BM question... I am 4 days post op. I am having gas, but no BM yet. I know I was very emptied out on Monday with the prep, but when do you get concerned if nothing materializes?
  14. Thanks for thinking about me!!! How are you doing? I am home now. Just ate 1/4 cup of applesauce with protein powder added to it. Was all I could manage. My next big step is a shower!!
  15. Two days out here. Very sore, but I was just able to eat 1/4 cup of applesauce with protein powder in it, and it seems to be staying down. Next on the agenda is a shower!
