  1. Meatballs again... I'm really getting sick of my diet but after a 12 day I don't want to cook anything. Nor is it easy to cook for one especially when I'm not a huge fan of leftovers. Rock| me |hard place
  2. I did the same thing. Want to eat everything in sight with the thinking I won't be able to have that again. What I did to get through it was make a list of the foods I wanted most before I had my surgery. Then I would diet all week and have one of those foods on the weekend. I did it every weekend up until the date of surgery and still managed to lose 27 lbs. I had fried chicken, ice cream, Chinese food, fried seafood, pizza, etc and to be completely honest after a while they didn't even taste that good. Some were a major disappointment. Now I'm not hungry enough or too scared to dump to eat any of those foods. I don't really miss them.
  3. Funny enough, it's the protein!!!! Protein, especially whey protein, makes you gassy.
  4. My doc said to take chewables for as long as I can but after six months if I couldn't stand them any longer I could switch.
  5. That's so awesome soccermomma!!! Hahahahaha!!!!!! Some insurance companies pay for a mammoplasty which is pretty much a reduction so if I have enough that I can lose a little and still have them fit my frame then I'm going that route. Other wise it's going to be a long time before I get nipped/tucked.
  6. You've lost a lot more then me. I've lost 44 since surgery but 67 since April. I'm at 202 and I'm determine to be under 200 by the weekend. Lol.
  7. I should also note that most of my days have protein shakes and yogurt in them. I drink a protein shake for breakfast and a Greek yogurt for lunch.
  8. I can eat everything except for nuts and seeds, skins (such as on fruits and veggies), dried fruit, and corn. However I have tried all of these in VERY small amounts except corn. I think that corn is one of the worst things you can eat. It's up there with fried food in my opinion.
  9. I just made 2oz ground turkey with taco seasoning, the high protein wraps I've been eating and about 3 tbsp of Monterey Jack cheese. It would be nice to have some shredded lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and jalapeños on them but I could barely eat what I made. Lol.
  10. Nachos!!! So easy and 20grams of protein. I'm stuffed.
  11. I don't have a lot of craving but the ones I do have are always carb based. Whether its really crusty sourdough with butter or birthday cake, carbs are the only thing I crave. However, I have NOT given in to my craving at all. I know if I do I'll be in some serious trouble.
  12. Just bought a pair of Levi's size 16!!! Woot woot!! They slid right on. I just held them up and I'm still amazed at how small they look. Can't wait til I'm in the single digits.
  13. I found them at market basket. They have a variety of frozen and no frozen food. They've gotten really good reviews.
  14. I just bought breaded "chicken" strips from gardein. They were very good. Probably the best soy product I've had in a while. I also bought the "beef" tips but I haven't tried them yet.
  15. Try to eat more Protein. I average somewhere in the mid 60s and just got off of a 2 week stall by eating 75 grams of protein. Who knew eating more could make you lose more weight? Lol
  16. Yea we are!! I wonder if we'll hit the 100s on the same day! Hopefully next week!
  17. Last week 208 this week 204.4!! The 100s are so close I can taste it and it tastes like a cheeseburger. Yum!! Lol. Oh and I just realized I'm a little below half way!!!' Crazy!!
  18. So I started a new job last week and they're buying us lunch as a welcome/monthly meeting tomorrow. They're getting 99 which is fine, I think I can find something to eat from them. Nobody knows that I've had surgery. My problem is how do I explain the portion size. Already people are asking if I'm starving myself because I only have a yogurt or protein bar for lunch. I really don't want people to know I've had surgery. I already had to turn down an offer of m&ms from the owner. He asked why not so I told them I was on a dr supervised diet and he just stared at me with a strange look on his face. Has anyone else been in this situation and how did you handle it?
  19. Tell me about it. I have been between 208 and 205 for the past two weeks. It's driving me crazy!!! Especially since I'm so close to the 100s.
  20. If your planning on going to a chain this might help http://bariatricdiningout.wordpress.com/2013/06/08/olive-garden/
