  1. Besides quitting smoking it was the best decision I've ever made. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Don't worry about the surgery. It's usually super quick and the recovery really wasn't bad at all. Just felt like a did a bunch of sit ups.
  2. I was just thinking about getting the b12 shot instead. I totally agree if I could take them all in shot form. I have zero issues with needles. And I have trouble remembering all my vitamins. I've been taking the Celebrate calcium with d but I'm getting bored with them. Too bad I still have like a bottle and a half left of them. Next time I'm getting the Bariatric Advantage calcium with d chews. They tastes so much better then the chalky celebrates. Plus I'm a caramel junky so win win. And for the Multivitamin I'm taking generic flintstones complete. They're not bad but I'm thinking I'd rather take a gummie and then iron separately. I have an appt with my doc at the end of August so I'll talk to them about it then.
  3. I used to work at a respiratory company that dealt with cpaps and I completely agree with you. It was very frustrating to do the work just for us to pick it up a few months later when the person had weight loss surgery. And I've said that line " they haven had an issue in 40+ years..." so many times I can't even count. Lol. However, I do believe you should use the machine. For now. Most sleep apnea clears up after surgery. The hospital will make you bring it when you have surgery and if your dr knows your on it and didn't bring it he probably won't be too happy. I don't know what insurance you have but most insurances will purchase the machine for you in a year. So if you don't need it in a few months call the company and they'll pick it up. Suffer now to reap the reward later. : )
  4. One of my dresses shrunk. Now that's not just a cover for me gaining weight. It actually shrunk.
  5. Thank you!! Took me all week to make them.
  6. 213.6!! Almost 4lbs this week!! This is so much fun. I think this is my favorite thread.
  7. Absolutely nothing to do with weight loss surgery but I just made these for my cousins fiancé's bridal shower tomorrow. They're made completely of folded paper. My hands hurt.
  8. Have you tried the 5 day pouch test. It's supposed to reset your pouch. Also try starting at the beginning again. Do one week of liquids, soft foods the next week, etc. and pay attention to what your putting in your mouth. Log everything on my fitness pal. I don't think I'll ever have chocolate ice cream or cookies in my house ever again. Hopefully your in charge of what your buying at the store. Chicken has been an issue with alot of people. Try pork or fish or turkey. And don't think that you won't gain the weight back cause it will happen.
  9. I've been wanting chicken salad in lettuce wraps. I typically make my chicken salad with a little greek yogurt, mayo, crasians, and celery. I can't have the crasians, the celery, or the lettuce yet but this will be my first meal once I can. It's also good with cut up green apple and red grapes. Yum.
  10. Thanks for that. The carbs are a little high for me but I still might look into them.
  11. These look great!!! I'm going to try to find them.
  12. I haven't been out on a date date in like 3 years. It really does suck. I'd rather just hang out with a guy I like. Nothing formal. No plan. I'm more comfortable that way.
  13. What's the nutritional info on this. I made pizza tonight on a tortilla. It was yummy and I ate half of it. I'm stuffed.
  14. Do you have a catheter when you come out? Depends on the doc. I didn't have one at all. It seems that most people do tho. How long does it stay in? From what I've heard usually until the next morning. Sometimes once your awake and moving around. How was the overnight hospital stay? Not bad. Your on alot of meds so you tend to sleep alot. Just remember to get up and walk as much as you can. It'll pass the time and you'll feel alot better gas wise. Bring a pillow, the hospital ones tend to suck. And bring Chapstick because you can't have any Water until the next morning. I had never been admitted either. My hospital stay was unique to say the least (long story) but it was only overnight.
  15. I've been trying to find flat out bread but I can't find it anywhere. Although I'm trying to avoid the bread aisle maybe I'll have to sneak down there and check it out. The wraps and flat breads are typically kept in a different section at the market I go to.
  16. It's nice but COLD. It's gotta be a hot day to get me in. Lol
  17. I'm looking into buying a fitbit. I'm just not sure which one to get. I like the flex because of the watch style and its less noticeable but the other ones track more. Which one do you guys like? Or do you like another fitness tracker better?
  18. I'm trying not to eat alot of carbs cause they're a trigger for me. These tortillas only have 5 net carbs which is really good. I have another package of whole wheat tortillas in the pantry and they have 25 net carbs.
  19. Anyone try these? I was gonna try making pizza on them tonight. I'm on a pizza kick. The low carb cream cheese crust I ha last night was good but not the same.
  20. My doc say you can only take Tylenol. No aspirin aleve Advil. But I have had luck with peppermint oil. Put a dab on each of your temples and one behind your neck. Works really good.
