  1. Took my fat little dachshund for a long walk today. And guess what? He's not that fat anymore! He's looking more like a handsome dachshund than a baby fur seal. Lol
  2. Yesterday was dress down day at work. The jeans I've been wearing were getting too baggy so I tried on everything in my jeans drawer. Most of them were two baggy! Only two fit - and I hadn't been able to fit in those for three years! :-)
  3. Make homemade lemon or limeade w/spenda to taste. Good chilled or w/ice. Or room temp (which I like Why the cold restriction? Did they explain? I could have cold from the beginning if I wanted to, and no sugar added Popsicles have been a staple this summer.
  4. Love refried beans w/jalapeños. :-)
  5. Five shrimp and 1/2 deviled egg. :-)
  6. I love shrimp. I've only had it for a couple meals though. I was thinking of getting a few scallops this weekend. THOSE I could live on! :-)
  7. I know, it's weird. It used to gross me out. But I can drink more if it's warm and for some reason it tastes better to me.
  8. Thanks for giving me hope. I love grilled chicken salads and would like to enjoy them again someday. :-)
  9. I was craving deviled eggs so I whipped up a batch and ate 11/2. It was nice to have something different. I ran into my local family owned grocery store and found they had made packages of shrimp cocktail for one - each pkg has eight medium shrimp, a little container of cocktail sauce, and a lemon wedge. It's the perfect size and I can get a meal or two out of it. That's tomorrow's lunch and maybe dinner. :-)
  10. You're lucky it only lasts 15 mins. My fist time lasted 2 1/2 hours. :-p Jeepchick is right. Wait a couple weeks and try again, but do it cautiously. My surgery was May 30 and I still can't do chicken, turkey or tuna. I can eat eggs and fish (except tuna for some reason) every day. :-)
  11. I agree - BOTH are bad taste. That being said, I think tattoos are becoming more acceptable IF tastefully done. I still believe they should be placed somewhere they can be covered completely if necessary. Even artistically pleasing tattoos can limit a career if they are in a place where they can't be covered in certain situations. :-) Now on to breasts. Tight clothing over breasts (or anywhere) is totally inappropriate in many situations, work being one of them. I know women who would disagree. But I would wonder how a woman can expect to be taken seriously professionally when she draws attention to her breasts. I think she would be liked by men, despised by women, but not respected by either group. Work ethic is important in the professional world but image is equally important. And a true saying is " You never get a second chance to make a first impression".
  12. I'm married with grown children. My husband wanted to stay home with me but I didn't really need him to. I spent my time time home alone napping, reading, walking, and learning how to eat and drink again. The only thing I needed my husband for was to carry my dachshunds upstairs at night. My recovery was easy, aside from an annoying rash. I was cutting my lawn and doing housework a week later.
  13. I see some people eat chicken. When does it get easier to eat it? I tried it today for the first time with disastrous results. :-p
  14. I've seen quinoa but never tried it. I'll have to check it out...
  15. Fresh scallop cake. I was looking forward to it but it was only so-so. It didn't bother me or anything, I just wasn't thrilled with it so the dogs got most of it.
  16. "Nut", not "but"!!! Damn autocorrect... Lol
  17. I looked at Nutella today. The sugar content is double my limit. My but says you can mix the PB2 with a little water as a peanut butter substitute. The consistency is different but it's supposed to taste like peanut butter, only minus the fat. I'm sure it'll give you the taste you want with your bananas.
  18. When you are able to have it, Healthy Choice makes a frozen Greek yogurt that's tasty. Sugar's at the top end of the acceptable range but it has protein too. I keep it around so I can have a treat when my family has ice cream.
  19. Dried prunes? Are they too high in sugar?
  20. I know what you mean. Overeating is no longer an issue is it? Lol
