I was having problems taking in Fluid and calories. I wound up making myself more sick by not doing that. I went to my surgeons office and could hardly stand up. Couldnt take a shower without wanting a nap afterwards, and feeling dizzy. They took me down to the ER (office is at a hospital) and the first thing they do is take blood and hydrate you. if you're having problems and don't know whats causing them call your dr's office! don't wait like I did, I just made myself worse

I had a horrible three weeks starting right before week 4. (had been great up until that) i also dehydrated myself and didn't eat for a week. ended up in the hospital (sibley) and got potassium as well. (i chose the oral liquid version cause the iv version stings bad!) I'm finally feeling better now. How have you been?

I'm two weeks post-op today! is there somewhere for us to post..post-op or keep going here?

Hello everyone! I'm on the final count down. my surgery is Tuesday April 9th at 1pm. (i wish it was earlier in the day) oh well. I'm kinda getting discouraged by all the people that say why don't you just exercise? You've already lost weight, just keep doing that. It's frustrating to tell "my story" over and over and to have to explain why this is a good decision. Meh. I'm worried I'm not prepared enough for once i get home. I think i have to order more protien shake mix tomorrow. I'm on the unjury shakes now. I've heard that it's good to use the bariatriac advantage post surgery. any thoughts??

I'm starting day 5 of the protien shake diet today. I agree! i've never peed so much ever! I'm being good, and not cheating so far. (luckly i only need to do one week!) My surgery is on Tuesday April 9th at 1pm!! SO close!!

my surgery is april 9th. march has been the worlds slowest month for me!! I start my liquid diet on April 1st (after easter) Then it's go time! Good luck ladies!!

My bestie had her surgery Feb19th. We spoke about the surgery about 6 months ago when she had decided to do it. I had been considering it for a long time without any support from friends or family. After realizing her courage I decided to start on the path to the new me! She's now recovering nicely and is very inspiring to me. I am so happy to have a friend like her in my life My surgery is coming in April, I'm nervous but very excited!

I've been in thearapy since i was young for various reasons. I've just recently found a thearapist who specialzes in bariatraic surgery. I'm going to start seeing her next week for that plus anxiety.
