  1. Awwe...thanks for the words of encouragement. I think just knowing I'm not alone and others are going through the same type of emotions helps immensely. I decided to sit out on the patio and play ball with my pooches. It seems to be helping.
  2. It finally happened. I cried. I keep telling myself no regrets...no regrets....but dang it sometimes a girl just wants to be able to eat fried chicken and fart. Ughh...sorry about that visual. I suppose this horrendous left sided belly pain will be around a few more days. Any advice getting through "hell week"? I think the lortab elixir is making me cranky and stabby. I'm so annoyed with myself, I can't even imagine how my poor family feels.

  5. Recovery does indeed suck. This is day 2 post op for me and I'm noticing improvement in pain and such already. Just think, if we can make it though the first couple of weeks it will all be worth it in the end. I get to shower now then hopefully I will be headed home.
  6. I'm on day one of clear liquids also. I loved jello before, now the jello and broth just taste icky and I can't handle it. I can drink the heck out of some decaf tea and water though. Hang in there. I think that being hungry thing will improve. I'm glad I haven't had that so far. I'm thinking about you and wishing you a speedy recovery.
  7. I'm up walking and drinking so yay! All went well with my surgery. My only major complaints are that all broth and jello tastes like snot....seriously, and I just wish I could fart. I'm burping like a drunken sailor though. One last thing, OUCH OUCH! Pain is better today, but when the pain meds wear off...just OUCH!
  8. I'm doing the same pre-op diet. I've been using the EAS carb advantage shakes. They were causing some diarrhea issues, so I switched to a soy protein isolate powder and mixing it with soy milk. So far so good. I've lost 13 pounds so far. My surgery is this Tuesday the 12th. The hard part about this pre-op diet is being hungry and pissed off. Other than that it's great! Ha! We have to shrink that liver though, so hang in there. You're going to do great. Best of luck to you.
  9. Hi everyone! My surgery date is March 11th. Hoping for some inspiration to keep me on my preop diet. Good luck to all of you beautiful people on your pending surgeries.
