  1. I can't remember. I looked at it in the store, but didn't buy it because I wasn't sure. It had 50 calories and the only ingredient was coconut water. Had lots of potassium in it.
  2. Is the plain coconut water with no sugar count as a clear liquid? I'm still doing 10 days of post op clear liquids and am getting bored with my choices.
  3. What the?? This kind of makes me want to junk punch my doctor! Ha! I want food! I am happy for you though
  4. What the heck? You get to eat pudding?! I'm sooooo jealous! Only clear liquids for me until stinking Thursday. How are you feeling? Glad you're home. That's a good sign
  5. Ahhhh....see I had my gallbladder out like 14 months ago and I had been taking fiber every day to prevent diarrhea. I can't take the fiber since surgery....so that makes sense. You're a genius! Thank you thank you!
  6. Awwwee...thanks Pammy. I think whining to you guys on here has helped. There are so many people on here that are willing to help with advice and kind words. Knowing we aren't in this alone is half the battle.
  7. I'm doing the chewable gas-x tablets. I do 1 or 2 depending on how gassed up I feel
  8. You've made a conscious decision to change your life. You've gone through all of this, and you have your surgery date right around the corner. These are all really good things. You have a lot to look forward to. The pre-op, the anticipation, the emotional stuff...it all sucks, but just keep telling yourself that it will get better. Before you know it...it does. You aren't alone. I'll be trudging right along with you.
  9. Ok guys....I keep hearing about all this constipation everyone seems to have had post op and I'm having watery very dark diarrhea poops like 3 and 4 times a day and I'm 4 days post op. What the heck? I attribute some of this to the super-sized bag of IV vitamins I got in the hospital, but I'm on clear liquids only, so what gives! (My apologies for the vivid poo description.)
  10. Dang! Down 13 already...yay for you! I'm up 4 since my surgery Tuesday, but I tend to retain lots of fluid. Glad you are doing well. I'm feeling pretty good. I'm mostly bored with clear liquids and still having left side pain. I seem to be getting all of the fluids in without issues. I just drink all day...little sips.
  11. I'm so sorry. That's gotta be horribly frustrating. Are you getting all of your water in? Are you still clear liquids, or are you doing any protein supplements yet? Hang in there. It's bound to get better.
  12. I know EXACTLY what you're saying. I'm so glad the surgery is over for me, but it's harder than I thought it would be. If anyone ever tells you it's "the easy way out", you have my permission to punch them in the throat. When's your surgery date?
  13. Hmmm...house shoes you can walk in, robe....I brought Burt's Bees because my lips were ridiculously chapped. I liked having the Listerine breath strips also. Lotion...deodorant...definitely lap top, ipad, phone or something you can keep us all posted with! It's nice being able to reach out on the forum when you're feeling frustrated.
  14. I had mine this past Tuesday and didn't have it until 1:00 PM and I'm diabetic! Rest assured though, by that morning I wasn't even hungry anymore since the day before was clear liquids. You are going to do great, and I am super excited for you. I'm 4 days out and feeling pretty good and I'm a gigantic wuss
  15. I should post my weights I suppose. It's still early, so that parts not too exciting yet. Starting weight: 228 Day of Surgery: 214 Current Weight: 219 Goal Weight: 135 Let's do this!!
  16. 4 days post op today and I cooked Thai food for my family. I ate a sugar free Popsicle. It smells great and they tell me it's good, but I didn't dare try it. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It would be great to eat with them, but so far I'm doing ok with it all. I've only had one dose of pain meds today, but it does hurt a bit. I'm trying to stay active so the time passes quicker for me. I'm already missing work, but I can't go back for at least 2 more weeks. I am shocked to have this much energy considering all I've had is sugar free clear liquids for days. The human body is an amazing thing.
  17. So excited for you. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.
  18. I had really strange food dreams last night. I'm just happy I finally slept most of the night, but those were some vivid, probably depraved, yet delicious dreams. Hope everyone is doing better and getting stronger today.
  19. Thank you guys for sharing your experiences. It really helps. So far I've been very fortunate and had nothing major going on. I hope things will be looking up for you now. I'm very impatient unfortunately. I know this doesn't all happen overnight, but how awesome would it be if it did? Ha! I'll be looking forward to reading about your progress. Thanks again for being so positive and encouraging.
  20. Never had a catheter, so yay for that! Day 4 is feeling better. I'm still having issues wil pain on the left side, but Tylenol helps. My bed is so tall getting in and out of it is comical. I still have trouble passing the gas...not sure why. You will do great...reading these boards have helped tremendously. Everyone is so wonderful and helpful. I'm excited for you. Just get through he first couple of weeks and I hear it gets better. That's what I keep telling myself.
  21. It's been getting better every day Leticia. I didn't have a catheter at all. I was concerned about that, but they don't do them. I had no problems with peeing. I'm 4 days out now and still having some gas pains. Not hungry at all which is nice, but trying to remember to get 64 ounces of Water in is a pain. It is so nerve wracking, yet exciting. You will do great and everyone on these boards have been so wonderful and helpful.
