  1. I have already planned to buy some of the Premier Protein shakes that are Pre-made to take to work with me. If you put them in the freezer for a little while they get almost to the consistency of a milk shake after you shake them up...it's the only was I can choke them down when I don't have a blender available. Good luck!
  2. Bahahaha. I just died laughing. My hubby thinks I'm nuts for laughing at my iPad.
  3. Welcome! Do not feel embarrassed! Use this surgery as a tool to get yourself on track. Glad you're here with us. I have BCBS too, and will submit to insurance next week. I think the waiting to hear from them is going to be really hard!
  4. Gallbladder? I had a lot of the same feelings you had for a month-when I finally broke down and went to the ER it turned out it was my gallbladder. I am Pre-op for WLS, but I keep reading on these boards about people who have issues with their gallbladder s after surgery. Good luck to you!
  5. Welcome, and best wishes to you as you begin this journey! I think this site has been the best thing for me as I've gone through the process, and I'm sure you'll find the same to be true. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the insurance issue...how do you plan to get around that? I just had my 6th PCP visit this week and expect that as soon as my doctor's office submits to insurance, my policy will all of a sudden not cover WLS....I know it's unlikely, but I can't keep from thinking about it!! Glad you're here with us!
  6. Your PCP needs to see you ASAP and start you on a proton pump inhibitor and an antibiotic. There's one other medicine...I think it's an antibiotic as well. It takes 2 weeks for the meds to work on the H.Pylori bacteria. Good luck!
  7. So glad to hear you are doing so well! I've been watching the board, waiting to hear from you! Keep walking and sipping!
  8. You're going to be fine! I will keep you in my prayers-please post as soon as you are able. Best wishes!
  9. Hello, I have been reading the forums for almost 6 months and it seems that a great majority use the Flintstones vitamins. I do think that when you meet with your nutritionist, he or she will be able to offer suggestions. Good luck!
  10. You can do it! Welcome to the boards!
  11. I have BCBS of Alabama and will be submitting the first week of July. Please pray that it is approved the first time, and quickly, because I need to get the surgery before school begins on August 20th.
