Wow if u don't mind answering why did they have to do an open?? I thought that is very rare that they have to do these surgeries like that anymore?

I had same issues, and my doc said same thing about the sleeve and my acid reflux; so knowing there is that chance I'm going with what I should have the first time and getting the By-Pass!!

Welcome , I'm also new!! I have my surgery on April 24th!! I'm 5'3"...weight is 295...worst I've ever felt, feel like my feet will just crumble when I walk or stand to much!! I pray your journey is successful !! Janet

Hey, is there anyone else with experience of having their lap-bands removed and now going thru by-pass surgery? I had mine put in almost 5 yrs ago and had to have it removed in August 2012; I lost 80 lbs the first year and felt fabulous and the next 3-4 yrs I stayed sick and throwed up EVERYTHING I ate!! I gained 40 lbs back, so since having it removed I've gained my 80 back and 50 more !! I have never felt so miserable in my life !! I can't wait to be healthy again!! Please share your stories with me, so I know I'm not alone !! Thanks, Janet

To taking a long hot bubble bath again!! To being able to tie my shoes in the middle instead of the side!! Run & Play with grandbabies til I wear them out!! To not having daily pain and discomfort!! To finally be healthy and vibrant again!!
