Congrats to you on your diet, just think about what you'll look like at the end. I am on day 3 of the pre-op diet and it seems to be getting easier. I have already lost 6 pounds. Anyway, good luck to you with everything. When is your surgery? Mine is the 27th.

I have heard on here that this is what just about everybody feels like at some point. My surgery is June 27th, and I cannot tell you how many times I have questioned it. Getting the band has been a 2 year battle for me and yet I still question if I'm doing the right thing. It really scares me because I have never had surgery before. What your dealing with is perfectly normal. Just read all these success stories and you'll know your making the right decision.

I too was diagnosed with H-Pylori. I found out that I had it because my stomach just stayed really acidy feeling all the time. So my primary put me on the treatment for it. I don't remember it making me sick though. It will get better soon, but if it is too bad I would call your dr. just to let them know the meds are making you sick. I was in psych eval. for about 5 minutes (even if that). She asked me questions like: Why do you want to have the surgery? Who do you have that will be supporting you through this? What will change in your life after the surgery? She just basically wants to make sure that I'm doing this for all the right reasons. Anyway, good luck to you with this, and it is really nothing at all to worry about.

He had us order online this Bariatric Advantage shake that he wants us to do for the two weeks. We'll I tried one and I'm not real sure how I'm gonna only drink those for 2 weeks. They are nasty, and I hate that I spent 140.00 on them. But I'll do what I need to do for the surgery, and I sure will be losing some weight drinking only these shakes.

Hello bas! I too am a self-pay, and I have a wonderful surgeon. He is Dr. Garth Davis, you know from TLC's Big Medicine. I'm having it done at University General in Houston. I would have nothing else done except for the Lap-Band, and I absolutly love this forum.

What about braces? I've heard they are a different type of metal. Just asking because I have braces and they haven't said anything about what they do.
