This is my "homework" from my nut. I am to practice how it will be to eat post op. I have a real hard time with this as well as drinking without a straw! I use my big cup with a straw all day long, at home and at work. These are going to be the hardest hurdles for me I think!

I tried the synthrax matrix mint chocolate shake this morning and it was sooo good. Hope i like it post op because I am gonna order a bunch of it! Yum

Heading to weigh in number 5! Hoping to get my surgery date today. Also hoping I make it there. The roads are bad due to snow storm and it is hour and half away! Excited!!!!!!

Went to my mandatory support group tonight and it was very interesting. Heard some great success stories, as well as some stories of people who are 3 years out and are still struggling. Goes to show that this will be a LIFE LONG journey, not one that is "fixed" by having RNY. Was a very positive evening and am now more excited than ever!

I have everything done except for the two last weigh ins. I wish they could skip those and just submit, but guess ill have to wait. I am going to a mandatory support group tonight with my husband and then weigh in on wed. Hope to get a date then. Good luck at your appointment! Mine was very nice. The guy just talked to me and asked some questions. It was more like friends talking than an eval!

I did the same as wendilou. I ordered several sampler packs from Bariatric Advantage. That way, I will have several to try post op. I have also started stocking up on some broths, soups and other stuff that I have read about and seen on some you tube videos I have watched. I am hoping to find out a surgery date on Wednesday at my weigh in appointment. Then only one more weigh in to go in march! I wish it would hurry up and get here already!!

Awesome job and congrats! You should be so proud of all of your hard work! I am so hoping that my journey resembles yours! You are living proof that it can be done!

I will be in April, just don't have a date yet. I will get that on March 27th at my last pre op weight in. I am soooo excited. I have started buying some of the essentials that I have heard people talk about. I also ordered several sample packs of protein drinks. Bariatric pantry has 10% off sample packs and free shipping over $99, so I got one of each today and saved some money. I won't stock up more due to people saying that taste buds change, but at least I will be able to figure out what I like. Have another follow up on Feb 27th, so I will find out about my pre-op diet and such.
