  1. I just had mine while I was in the hospital, on day of discharge they pulled! Do thankful I didn't go home with it!
  2. I had my family bring me gas x, not sure that it really helped, you feel so bloated after surgery! Bring your pillow for sure, my surgeon wouldn't let me lay below 40 degrees so you feel like your sleeping sitting up- I used many pillows to help prop me up and help me sleep. I would agree on the house slippers or socks too!! Good luck!
  3. I can't wait to get to that point!! Still having some pain but I can tell its getting better with time!!
  4. Thanks for the help. I feel a lot better. I have learned I probably was drinking too much and that I have to really sit up straight when I drink, the more I lounge the painful it Is. But I'm doing much better and am getting down a lot more fluids than I was! Thanks!
  5. I know how hard the liquids are, I have 1 1/2 days left on mine and dreaming of Monday morning when I can eat a scrambled egg!!! I had a few breakdowns, one over a sonic tator tot that my sister brought over and was eating!! I have just wanted something to eat so bad! But it does get better, you all can do it!! Hang in there! Every time I doubted I just stepped on the scale and got my focus back!! Good luck!!!
  6. You look awesome!!! Congrats. I'm about two weeks post op and doing pretty good!! Can't wait to get to six months!!

  8. I feel the same way as you all do. I had surgery july 22 and can't wait til I can eat a scrambled egg!! I have people that have tempted me the past week, I did have an emotional breakdown over a tator tot but got over it quickly!! It definitely is a head thing! But I'm staying strong.
  9. Hey everyone! I live north of kc - in kearney, but just had my bypass one week ago today! I'm doing pretty good but kinda feeling a little isolated from friends and family- my whole social life really did revolve around food!! But just saw this thread and thought I would reach out. How is everyone doing?
  10. Ya I am talking about water or powerades. But I will try the temp thing. Thanks!
  11. Hey everyone! I am 6 days post op today. I am doing really good with eating jello and Popsicles, but for some reason it hurts to drink liquids. After a few drinks which I do space out I feel as though there is a huge gas bubble that is caught in my throat. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned? I eat a lot of Popsicles and this doesn't seem to bother me. But not sure if this is normal. Thanks for the help!!!!
  12. Hey everyone! I'm new to posting but wanted to say thanks for sharing!! I have surgery tomorrow at 730a! The closer it gets the more nervous I become but most of all I'm just really excited!!! I live ready about everyone's experiences! Can't wait to start my new life!!!
