  1. I've been living on chicken and beef broth, jello, juice and Popsicles.
  2. I've survived day 1 of my liquid diet. Only 2 days to go before my surgery on Thursday. Really jittery. I can't wait for this all to be over and to take my spot on the loser's bench!!
  3. Day 1 of my pre op clear liquid diet and surgery on Thursday!!! Surreal!!! I never thought I'd get here!!!!
  4. My surgeon says I will be taking pain meds in the hospital in pill form. But, you can get D3 in a tablet form which sound like it makes more sense with your surgeons guidelines.
  5. I'm pre-op, my surgery is this upcoming Thursday. I've really done my homework and talked to LOTS of people who have had the surgery and I have yet to talk to a single person who regrets having it.
  6. I have been told the primary motivator behind the sleep study is the insurance company. It wasn't a requirement for me until my employer changed insurance providers. My sleep study process has been THE most unpleasant part of this whole thing. Everyone I dealt with was nice but even my cardiologist said he thought it was silly to put people through this for weight loss surgery when losing weight usually eliminates the sleep apnea. This is the only part of the process that made me feel guilty for being fat. My CPAP will be delivered in the next week or so. It sucks but at least it was the last of my pre-op requirements.
  7. IPhone here. I'm in!!! 315-783-8572
  8. Got my PCP's pre-op clearance today. One more night in the sleep lab and all of my hurdles are behind me. This is all getting very real!!! March 21st starts the next chapter in my life!!
  9. I can totally relate. My surgery is March 21st and I've been totally anxious and eating stuff I shouldn't be touching.
  10. I had my required sleep study last night and they tell me I have sleep apnea. What??!!!?? It sucked. I didn't sleep well at all. Now I have to go to two appointments then work. I'm exhausted! I never snore at home and I never feel this terrible in the morning. And I have to do it again!!!
  11. I would think it should count as long as you weighed in and discussed weight loss. Those were the only requirements for mine. They had to document my weight and that we'd discussed diet and exercise.
  12. I just have the one nutrition class which takes care of that requirement for me. As for my psych eval, it was about 45 minutes of chatting with a psychologist about why I want to have the surgery and making sure I was well aware of what was going to be done to my body and what my expectations and behavioral changes after surgery would be.
  13. I'm in upstate ny! It will be so nice to have people with the same surgery date to share this experience with!!
  14. That's my date too! Yay for the 21st!!!!!
  15. My grocery store has sad in store coupons for G2. Atkins I believe I got from All You magazine. broth was from the Sunday paper. Vitamins I got from Rite Aid and used their store card which got me $40 in free vitamins. I get coupons from the paper mostly. Them I pair them up with sales and stock up!
  16. I'm a coupon queen so I've been stocking up for a few weeks on broth, G2, Atkins shakes, vitamins and supplements and other shelf stable stuff I will need. I don't want to put too much away until after my nut class so I have more specifics. When I first got my date 10 weeks out it seemed like forever ! Now, as of Thursday, I'm 5 weeks out!! It's coming so fast!! So much still to do!!
  17. Hope all went well!! Will be watching for an update!!
