  1. Not really working out, just walking a lot! I get head hunger, where I wanna eat foods that smell good or my favorites from before. My Dr. advanced me quicker, I only had to do liquids for a few days and now I'm just eating really soft foods.
  2. You go girl. I love Zumba!
  3. I sleep flat on my back now but I slept in a recliner for the first few nights.
  4. I woke up from surgery with horrible lower back/tailbone pain. I mentioned it to the nurses and they didn't say much. It's slowly gotten better but it's still there and very irritating. I never had this pain before surgery. Anyone have a reason why? lol
  5. My surgery was Jan 16. I had my staples out while I was in the hospital. The only downside is that my skin reacts to adhesives, so All the bandages and tapes have left red itchy welts. My incisions don't bother me at all. I have been walking since the day of surgery. Yesterday I actually jumped on the elliptical. I only lasted about five minutes at a slow pace but then I just walked it off on the treadmill. I'm at about a mile of walking at a time.
  6. Everyone is different. I am a week post op and I've lost 15lbs. Also, not every week is going to be the same. Can you imagine if you lost ~20lbs every week? Congratulations on your surgery and yay!! for your 28lb loss!
  7. Congratulations on your surgery. Mine was on the 16th as well and it feels good to be a week post op. I have my good and bad days but I don't regret it. I'm down 15 lbs! Looking forward to getting to know you! It's cool to have others with the same surgery date! Best of luck.
  8. I'm really hopeful that they return. Glad to hear others have seen them come back, even if they are bad or irregular. I'm not having any at all right now so I'll take what I can get
  9. Me! I had my surgery Jan 16th. Nothing yet, but I am only a week post op. Hoping for some changes!
  10. Oh wow. I hope surgery helps. That sounds awful :-(
  11. Oh no! How long since your surgery and how long have you been bleeding?
  12. Thanks Kimmy! Sorry for the typos! I cant* drink anything cold. And I meant exercise routines! Yay auto correct :-)
  13. Hi all. I had my surgery on Jan 16 and am currently one week post op. So far so good! The only issue I've noticed is I can consume anything cold. But down 10 lbs :-) A little back story. I'm 25 and was diagnosed with a hormonal disorder when I was 14. It's caused a lot if weight gain, blood sugar problems, and infertility. I've always been athletic, played volleyball and was a runner most of my school years, but I was always the chunky one. After high school I got married and have been a nanny/homemaker. To no avail, my husband and I have not been able to conceive. So 120 lbs later and countless failed diets, except use routines, and fertility treatments, I am here. I feel good about my decision. I'm hoping to get to know other RNYers and have a support system since my surgeons office is 4 hours away and I won't be able to make the support meetings. I've read so many post and have so much respect for this outlet and the people who bare the souls on here! Hope to get to know y'all Mandi
  14. Hi all. First post here. I just had my surgery on Jan 16th. I have PCOS (was diagnosed at 14) and only have had 2 periods over the course of 4 years. One was after losing 25 lbs on a fad diet. I'm only a week out now, but was curious if other women with PCOS saw their periods return and how far out from surgery did they return? Looking forward to having cycles (sounds weird, I know) and then being able to have babies! :-)
