  1. Oh yeah. I don't have a desire for food at all!!
  2. If it doesn't get better everyday, go to the ER! The pain had me in tears and bent over trying to walk. This is NOT normal. After day four of extenuating pain I decided to go to the ER and was admitted. My Bp had raised to 190/100 (from the pain) which is a problem all by itself. My heart rate was really high (which the doctors were concerned with). Come to find out my intestines were swollen and my tummy was filled with soooo much gas. After seeing this thru the X-rays, the doctors understood why the pain was so bad. The hospital kept me for 3 more days. Soooo I say this to say if u feel terrible for too many days GO to the hospital. I hope u feel better soon. You are not alone ;0)
  3. I dreamed about a burger for the first 2 weeks after surgery. Every single night.
  4. Omg...I have certain request from my family, soooo I'm cooking a glazed ham, backed Mac n cheese, meatballs with my special sauce, potato salad, baked chicken n rice, as for ME...I'm having this for dinner...
  5. How was that salmon? Sounds good!
  6. Yup I'm getting ready to take out some ground turkey also
  7. I'm 5 weeks also. I had my surgery the same day as you. To answer ur question, I do get full really fast with food which is why I'm still doing the bulk of my meals as Protein shakes so that I get an adequate amount of protein daily. Actually the only foods I can tolerate are eggs Beans yogurt and tuna. Everything else causes me to vomit and gets stuck in my chest.
  8. SW 245 2/19/13 Last week 217 Today 214 after a 2 week stall.
  9. Lol I haven't attempted carbs or fruit yet because I have a hard time getting my required amt of daily protein in. Maybe others are fulfilling their protein requirements with ease and so they are venturing out to carbs and veggies.
  10. Me too but i can't eat fish. Everything gets stuck except eggs, beans, and tuna.
  11. What is zucchini fettachini? Is is all veggie iris it a form of pasta? Thanks
  12. Prolly what I will have tonite or a protein shake.
  13. Great protein filled meal. I was told to eat all my protein before I even think of eat veggies and carbs. Protein is priority!! Great choice.
  14. I just got off a 15 day stall. I wasn't getting all of my water and only about 45 grams of protein. My nut told me to shoot for 80-90 grams of protein daily I have been doing this (with protein shakes) for two days now and I have lost weight for the last two days. I was sooooo discouraged because I got stuck at 3 weeks post op and i haven't cheated once. I am now 5 weeks. Sooooo increase ur protein and get all ur water in...no matter how difficult it is and then check ur weight again.
  15. I used the whole sample pack and mixed with 8oz skim milk.
  16. I highly recommend this, it taste just like a vanilla milkshake.
