  1. You need fiber too, fiber rich veggies or fruits, Quinoa, perhaps a fiber supplement
  2. Call your Dr, go in to be safe
  3. I am on full liquids starting today and I have had runny Cream Of Wheat, and about 6 oz of Protein shake over the last 2 hours, all stayed down fine but I have diarrhea since day 3 after surgery. I'm gonna try Split Pea Soup for dinner. Right now I'm way too full from the shake.
  4. Good luck girl, you'll do we'll. keep us posted
  5. Good Luck to Him, all will go well and he will start a new journey with you by his side. I just had my surgery on 4/23/13 so still healing but no regrets now or ever.
  6. Good luck to you, I am 5 days Post Op, All went well after 4 hours of Surgery, I had a Hiatal Hernia, and Lots of Scar Tissue from previous surgery, my worst day was day 1, that night the cramping was really bad, all I can say to you is Walk, Walk, Walk, that helps. I also had to quit the pain Meds as they were making me too tired to walk, day two was the last day of pain Meds. Walking is great now as long as I don't over do it. I do hope all goes great for you, and your recovery is smooth and quick. God Bless.
  7. How you doing today 6 days Post Op? Today was a better day for me Energy wise, even went to the grocery store, to get more stuff for my full liquids diet that I start tomorrow, my pouch has been upset all day from taking my morning Meds, just sticking to Water, juice and a little SF Jello, but even that is upsetting my pouch, I go see my Surgeon on Tues, so I will mention to him and see what he says. I hope your doing well. I think walking at the grocery store was a little much for me today, if I feel up to it I may go into work tomorrow for a few hours, I'll see how it goes, I just sit at a desk, nothing strenuous.
  8. I start my full liquids tomorrow, my list has SF Pudding, Unsweetened Applesauce, Cream Soups, (Tomato, Cream of Broccoli, Split Pea, Veggie Juice like V8, Oatmeal low sugar, Cream of Wheat, Yogurt light, Lactate Fat Free Milk, Protein Shakes like Glucerna (high in protein, low in sugar) I'm on this for 1 week then go to full Puréed Diet for 1 to 2 Weeks.
  9. Great News, now feel better
  10. Good Luck to you all going for surgery this week.
  11. I was getting frustrated but now feel really good
  12. All that gas I had finally made my body give in and a BM was achieved. I feel so much better now. Just a little gas left.
  13. I had Surgery on 4/23 and gas was an issue for me too, today I finally took a Gas X and that helped some and I finally had a BM movement, sooty to much info but that really helped me.
  14. I am sure it is from the IV fluids in the hospital and the gas, as I am bloated. I am still getting in my fluids and walking, still really sore belly, otherwise no issues, no nausea or other issues. Is this pretty common with others who had RNY? I also had a hernia they had to surgically repair and a lot of scar tissue. How long before the gas subsided and you were able to have a BM movement?
