Plastic Surgery Question
I have about 40 pounds left... I want to get down to my goal by February and maybe have it done in September or October. I do have rashes and have gone to the dr for documentation. I looked at my medical policy and it said you have to have rashes and the fold has to be below a certain point...since working out idt it's below that certain point. I probably won't be covered. Plastic Surgery Question
So as of Feb 2014 it will be my 1 yr anniversary of my gastric bypass... I do have the skin folds on my stomach area but idt they will meet what is needed for the instance company to pay for a tummy tuck... I was wondering what is the soonest anyone has had plastic surgery after their bypass with no insurance approval. If I was getting it covered by my insurance I would have to wait 18 months, but I don't see that happening. Should I still wait the 18 months. I have about 40 more pounds to lose and I want to lose it before my year anniversary...

I'm having a hard time getting to 200. I've been at 224-226 for the past 2 weeks. I really want to get down to 200 by Xmas. I was thinking about doing that pouch test thingy... Idk... :/ HW 332; CW 225; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175

Wanna see what was removed?
Yeah...every insurance is different. But the other thing I'm wondering is how long did it take from the beginning of you documenting things until the time you got approved HW 332; CW 236; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175

Wanna see what was removed?
This is all so interesting to me! I'm 7 months out and I get rashes under my breasts (not as frequent) and rashes near my groin area due to my flab. I went to my surgeon for my 6 mo Appt and they said my pediatrician needed to document everything (I think it was because they would be the ones to prescribe ointment or whatever) my doctor said that I should wait at least 6 months when I'm not gainin or losing anymore weight. So I was thinking that I would build up a case and go to my PCP every month for the next 3-4 months and by spring I would start looking into getting my insurance to cover this whole thing. I just don't know where to begin. You said what procedure you had - is that just the removal of the skin part? What's the different between that and a tummy tuck? I think if I'm getting rashes under my boobs too that could be covered too. HW 332; CW 236; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175

Yeah I've pretty much lost my butt. But I've heard if you do squats it will build your butt muscle back up... Have I done that? No lol HW 332; CW 236; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175

It's something that I made on my own. You just buy the Pepitas, sliced Almonds and chocolate morsels and mix together. HW 332; CW 236; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175

I have found an awesome mix to munch on... Dark chocolate morsels, sliced almonds and roasted pepitas! So good! A 1/4 cup of pepitas has 10g of protein. HW 332; CW 236; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175

Wow! It makes me feel like I haven't done anything. What's your secret? What type of exercise do you do? HW 332; CW 238; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175- Fabulous February Post-Op's
I'm in the same boat as well. I've lost 93 pounds and for the last month I've hit a wall and only lost a pound a week. I kicked up my protein and exercise and it didn't work. I've been kind of down about it too... HW 332; CW 241; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175- Motivation
Yeah that's a really good idea. How long do you work out and what do you do? HW 332; CW 241; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175- Motivation
Yeah I do a workout like 4 days a week. I've been on a stall with my weight for like 1 1/2 months... I think I'm just getting depressed by only losing like 8 pounds in that time. I bumped up my Protein and it didn't help much so idk... HW 332; CW 241; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175- Motivation
I have the hardest time getting the motivation to start exercising every day. It's so hard. After work I just want to come home and do nothing :/ HW 332; CW 241; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175- Fabulous February Post-Op's

Yeah it's goes on your non-dominant wrist. It keeps track of your steps and gives you an estimated calorie intake based off of your steps. You can also track your water intake on it too. It has silent alarms and also keeps track of your sleep. Idk how, but it does lol. HW 332; CW 241; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175- Fabulous February Post-Op's
I have the FitBit flex. I like it a lot. The only thing I wish it did was give you your heart rate. HW 332; CW 241; SD 02/28/2013; GW 175 - Fabulous February Post-Op's
