Did PreOp today. Lost 13 pounds, so I'm bona-fide to go! Can't wait until the 7th! Starting a whole new healthy life! Hard to figure out why you have to lose weight to have surgery to lose weight...!?! Don't care. Doing what it takes to make this happen. HW: 291 CW: 278

To be honest it never occurred to me to be nervous. Maybe I should have been?

Psych evaluate for me was no big deal. Tons of questions about my life from beginning to end. I was just bluntly honest and answered everything from beginning to end. It took about 3 hours. I did 22 years in military so its easy i think to talk about experiences and be open. Psych doc said at the end you are very confident in yourself and know what you want. I don't think you will have any issues at all.

Ok so what's up with "Greek" yogurt vs normal yogurt? Does it have to do with sugar in the normal Yogurt? My wife had lap band and tried Greek yogurt and hated it! I am getting RNY in a week and curious.

I had high blood pressure and sleep apnea so my approval was instant.

I think doc determines all that not insurance.

I have Tricare South. 1 month dieting is all. No problem at all. $25 total cost. 7 Nov is my date. And I use Mio in my water. Helps IMMENSELY! !!

The thing that bothers me with weight is airline travel. Im to the point of barely fitting in the seat and getting a seatbelt on. I PRAY nobody has to sit with me. Once I was put in a seat beside a guy who was actually bigger (ironically from my same office), and it was actually comical because it was so bad! We both agreed to compare our tickets in the future and adjust!

I get 13 days off. Not by doctor orders but work requirements. Fortunately, its mostly office work and meetings. But this is my only window of opportunity at least through next September of 2013, so Im going for it!

My surgery is on the 7th of November. Start preop on Friday. Tired of waiting. Tired of trying to lose weight. Anxious to start the rest of my life without this gut! *sigh*
