  1. Awesome! Looking forward to my new journey! I have to attend 3 group meetings (drs request) and I only have two left today is one of them and I will complete that before I even have my first appt on the 15th of Nov. Sooo its a great start to end this chapter in my life and to start a new one! I'm a rollercoaster of emotions! Doesn't seem real right now because I haven't even stepped foot into the medical offices! Just two more weeks and it will all start sinking in little by little I'm sure thanks to everyone who has posted!
  2. Yup, just looked up both Tricare and Triwest...Tricare doesn't state anything about 6months of diet, but Triwest does. So, I think I'm in the clear. Thanks for the time spent replying to my post!
  3. Yessssssss! *high five* ! LoL thanks

  5. I have Tricare Prime Remote North. Anyone know if you NEED the 6month diet before approval? Has it changed?

  7. I tell this to my friends who are going through relationship issues with their significant other..."you knew this person, and accepted them as they were from the begining." I understand people change but I'm referring to the educational issue. Having a GED is ok, but in today's society its not enough to secure a position (most of the time). I understand where your frustration comes into play and lazyness should not be tolerated. DO NOT allow him to drive your car. If he loves you he won't put you or your kids in jeopardy! It's a huge risk since you are the bread winner. I strongly believe ultimatums in situations such as these. Set standards and expectations and a time frame it all has to be accomplished by. I know you love him and this will be tough, but if you don't take care of yourself then who will your kids have to rely on? Make sure everything is reasonable, but make sure he sticks to the plan. If he's willing to do it...then he's a keeper. If not then he's fallen too deep into bad habits....and that's NOT good for you or the kids! Best of Luck and remember to Love yourself first! I have two kids a husband...and if I don't take care of me first then I would never have energy for them!
  8. Thanks guys! Cookier- did they ask u to do the diet for 3months then?
  9. Yup, totally agree its a bummer having to wait longer...but get it will get done! What insurance do you have?
  10. Oh awesome! I will do just that! So, just a food diary? Breakfast lunch and dinner sort of thing?
  11. Thanks for sharing and for your quick responses! I'm excited...I'm just alll kinds of emotions lol!
  12. Ok, so first off I'd like to say Hello! I've been reading a few stories and responses and everyone on here is truly amazing! I'm attending a mandatory info. seminar before I can even have my first visit...has anyone had to start off this way? If so what was your journey up until surgery day? I have Tricare prime remote North Region. I'm so anxious to hit the ground running!
