  1. I just hate it, I wear poise pads have for 10 years, of course its worse when I have a cold/cough. I do hope its only bad because of the weight and when I have my surgery and begin to lose weight it wont be so bad. but now I have to wear a pad 24/7. I have gotten to the point of calling it a diaper. I try to hold it till i can get to the bathroom. but it starts before I get there and pisses me off, yes I do kegel exercises and thats bull shit. after I do lose the 100 lbs, and I still have this problem. then I will decide to get my bladder tacted up.
  2. you need a laxative for sure and you need to get with your doctor, even if there was blood could be you tore humm your hole a bit. but being with mucus and clot, i would get with a doctor soon and get some prepartion H, but seriously fiber is your friend forever
  3. haha its called "doing the pee pee dance" we all do it, even men do too lol
  4. lol yall are funny, and its called Vesicare, well I hope losing the weight will help it a little,
  5. Yes i do that to and all i drink is water and very rarely cran grape lite juice. Its horrible when i have the flu and have coughing fits grrrr
  6. Yes both the surgeon and my insurance wanted me too
  7. With the weight and age does anyone else suffer from it? And does losing weight help with it? So embarrassing
  8. Amazing comments y'all thanks it really helps
  9. I do know its my decision, trust me on that. i just want to hear from folks who have had it, putting aside the yonger people who are under 40, because hell yea i would be excited as all get out to be able to get my groove back and buy new clothes and find a good man, but I am not looking for any of that. I am 56 years young married, and have a grand daughter. i just want my activity level up and just feel good. I am not looking for depression answers that isnt what i mean. I just want to know after it is all said and done are YOU happy? i appreciate all the good tips advice, and comments. Oh i am having the surgery dont get me wrong. next time i take my 5 yr old granddaughter to the zoo, i want to be smiling the whole way around it and pushing her to the next place.
  10. Lol yea that's good what I won't buy for myself in food ole hubs will. All I care about is getting my energy back and to be able to move more actively I probably won't buy any clothes till I lose about 60 lbs I still have plenty of sizes in jeans and t shirts. Thanks everyone
  11. Yes i am current on mamograms, had my coloscopy done last november and just had the endoscopy done, I havent smoked in 10 years. trying to get back on the cpap since they do require it. had sleep study a few years ago, but didnt feel it was done right since i hardly slept during it but yet they said i had sleep apnea. oh well what ever has to be done. i keep current on everything. everything should be about done for the surgery, just waiting now for pre op visit. already went to the seminar and my first appt where they gave me protein shakes and vitamins and calcium to start taking.
  12. thanks yall, it really helps talking to you, I have faith that god will see me through this. My endo just scared me yesterday so i had all these questions come up thank you
  13. Thats what i want to know from the 1000 of you folks on here. I am 56, i am type 2 diabetic that takes 750 mg of metformin XR 3 times a day, my cholesterol went up 1 time and was put on pravastatin, and because i am a diabetic doc puts me on high blood pressure so that the pressure doesnt build up on my kidneys from the diabetes, and in my entire life never had high blood pressure. it was never over 124/70 always just a little lower. now with the freaking pill which i discuss with my doc to let me 1/2 it for once a day, my pressure still runs low, even at one time it was 95 /62 that is too low. it usally stays now around 103/61 which i think is too low, but i will live with it. I dont care how i will look. I just want to stop being the biggest person in pictures, I want to be healthy enough to keep up with my 5 yr old granddaughter and do stuff like walk around the zoo and fairs and stuff with out giving out. and I refuse to use a wheel chair. I am not disabled. just fat. i havent ever been able to lose more then 20 lbs. its so freaking hard. and i didnt gain weight till i was 28, and then had depression so much i went for confort foods. chocolate addicted. i just want to feel normal and feel good and get off these meds. if it takes surgery then it will. i just want to know i wont still be depressed later like i am now. thank you for the comments
  14. thank you, also i have read in places people went to cardiologist before surgery to make sure they are ok. the only thing this clinic had me do was an ekg, and chest xray and blood work, is that good enough?
  15. I have been reading so many of your post alot of them, I am in 3 different support groups, here, facebook, and sparkpeople. I have read the post of folks going in for surgery, 4 days post op, and even up to 5 years post op. I have read about the weight losses, and great going for you!!, I have read the pain in my side. the dumping, and all that, and the excitment to buy new clothes. but not once have i read any post that says I feel so good now. I cant believe i could feel this good. I need to know?? Yes i have read if i had a choice knowning what i know now about the surgery and the pains and stuff would I do it again. and most of everyone says hell yea in a second. and thats awesome BUT ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?? is it everything you thought it would be? are you off the medications that you had to take for diabetes? and cholestrol, and high blood pressure. that the surgeons claim you will be off of? What about your depression, because i know most of us are depressed from being obese. are you still depressed? I am scared and i just need everyone to be honest please. thank you janice
  16. How about when you watch tv and you see some of those commericials and before your mouth would drool for the stuff, or you would get those rumblings and growls in your stomach because you wanted it. do you still get that pain? some commercials should be out lawed just saying
  17. So I had to go see my endocronologist today. i needed my letter of support for the clinic that is doing the surgery. My endo is the one who helped me get my diabetes under control. and he is also the one who refered me to this clinic, so he starts by telling me he is afraid for me and am i sure this is the only way to go? that maybe we can do drugs or something? I was like no, I have been through so much already. I do not want to take diet pills. he said you must underrstand this is a no joke surgery, it is very serious, and told me after the surgery i could develope hypoglycemia, and my sugars could run low especially if i take in carbs, I had to reassure him that I am reading everything, I am in 3 different support groups. I feel I am ready for the next chapter in my life, so he agreed, told me to come see him after surgery and they will keep me in their prayers. Ok so now how scary is that?
  18. Are the cravings still there even after 4 months to 4 years out? Sweet tooth is what got me to this place. I am hoping after the surgery I never put another piece a candy or cookie in my mouth????
  19. Close enough slowtogo
  20. I agree about wasting life, yep used to feel doomed. I am scared but i gotta shake it off. I know this is the best thing for me
  21. Haven't had my surgery yet. I am 56 my hubs is 47. I am doing the WLS for me for my health and for my granddaughter. When I met hubs 13 yrs ago I weighed 274 he weighed 353. My top weight was 306 he is still at his at 450. I have lost down to 284 due to shrinking for WLS I know I can do this hubs I don't think can ever. He has been heavy all his life since 5 yrs old. I have asked him many times wouldn't he like to see how normal feels. I gained my weight starting at 28. Mostly from depression. I could care less if I ever have sex again and damn sure don't ever want another man. I just want to be healthy and able to feel good and not be the biggest one in the pictures anymore. Hubs has no worries that I would leave him no reason to get jealous. But I really wish he would consider WLS too he did mention he will see how it goes for me and maybe he will. Crossing my fingers
  22. Looks like you and I are the oldest in the groups. I am 56. Waiting for my pre op and surgery for the RNY.
  23. It's the same as this one thank you
