  1. Has any one tried chinese food? I have been craving it now for a couple of weeks, but i'm not sure it's doable and if it is what to get. I'm sure the Sweet and Sour items are out. I'm 14 weeks out from my surgery. If any one has any ideas I would appreciate it. Kim
  2. Be patient your body is going through alot of changes. It's trying to fiqure out what the heck is going on.
  3. With the bypass you will have to have sugar free or no sugar added for the rest of your life. If you eat something with high sugar content you will get whats called dumping syndrome. Vomiting, severe cramping and diarrehea. My doctor told me I shouldn't eat anything that has more than 4 grams of sugar if sugar is the third ingredient in the product.. I have stuck with that since my surgery which was 3 months ago and honestly you can't taste any difference with the sugar free. There are a few things I don't like. I don't care for instant sugar free pudding or swiss miss sugar free hot cocoa. You still have to watch the calorie count because sugar free does not mean calorie free.. With any of the procedures it is a complete life style change. But it is well worth it. I feel so much better, can do alot of things I couldn't do before. I have lost 70 lbs since my surgery. I no longer have diabetes and I should be off by blood pressure medicine soon.
  4. Happy Birthday! Pillsbury has suger free cake mixs and frosting, and brownies. I made the brownies yesterday and I couldn't tell the difference. I had no problems eating it. I ate a small piece and it satisfied by craving for chocolate. I'm 3 months out.
  5. I'm 3 months out from my surgery and i quit 2 weeks before the surgery and started back up 3 weeks after. I wish i hadn't. Now its like i had never quit. If possible don't start again. I know its hard, because especially now it takes the place of things you can't eat. I'm starting the patch again and every time I get a craving I'm going to go for a walk or get on my stationary bike.

  7. Have they checked your Iron levels? I was going through the same thing. Turned out my iron was way to low. Now I take a supplement and after only one day I had so much energy it was like I was a new person.
  8. If you live in Michigan find a Beacon & Bridge Market. All the Jerky is fresh. The brand is from Little Town. I'm not sure where else they sell it, but it's awesome.
  9. My company sells fresh jerky and that was the only thing that has saved me. I couldn't stomach any of the protein drinks. I get 3 oz's in the morning and nibble on it all day.
  10. 4 weeks is not going to be enough time with a physically demanding job. I went back after 4 weeks and my job is not that demanding & I had a hard time. I'm 7 weeks out and doing fine now. My doctor wouldn't let me lift any thing for 6 weeks.
