  1. For our fb page I hope we are going to keep the critetia as sept 2012 people only. It is a special group to me. I know everyone is in the same place in their journey pretty much and to integrate newbies would nake it not as special for me. If we decide to branch out, I think we should make a seperate group and leave sept to remember as it is.
  2. Ive never drank more than 30 oz in a day, but feel great
  3. Ask you surgeon, but it sounds too soon to me.
  4. I read almost every dsy that someone thinks they are failing. That word is full of such defeat. This surgery allows us the chance to retrain our brains and make new habits, but no matter what you do, you will lose for the first year. I would just like to say that even if your diet isnt perfect, and you dont stick to your amount of water and protein you think you have to do, you can still be a success. Those guidelines do not work for all. For example. I have never drank more than 30 oz of water in a day since surgery, let alone 100 oz. I get waterlogged and sick if I push it. I have never eaten over 40 to 50 grams of protein in a day. I usualky get around 30, yet my labs for hydration and protein are perfect. I take calcium carbonate instead of citrate and calcium is great. I.do exercise, but.did not start until my 4 th month post op due to.disability. I eat fruit everyday. It does not make me dump although a lot of things do. My point is, we are all.different and although guidelines are set, it does not mean we fail if we are not precise within those ideals. I started out at 225 & 5 months later weigh 158. I wear size 6 & smalls. Its great to follow the rules, but if you have to adjust things for you, it doesnt mean you are a failure. Give yourself a pat on the back. Tjis surgery isnt easy!
  5. I am 5 months out too and eat it from time to time. It works well.for me. No dumping no matter the flavor.
  6. I needed someone. It is major surgery. Im sure you surgeon would prefer you had a helpervat home.
  7. At 60 lbs I am getting amakeover at sephora. Time to refresh and address my skin needs and how make up.should look on my cute and tiny new features. The makeover is free in any cosmetic counter, you just.purchade products you like.
  8. For me its heavy carbs like nachos and I am lactose too. Apples with pb caused it once. I eat oranges and blueberries all the time and drink juice, no troubles there.
  9. Every experience is different. I do not regret my choice. I love my new lifestyle. I have had no complications other than emotions gone crazy, but that passes. I love the way I am looking and feeling. Being fat is such a burden on your body in every way. I had high bp, asthma, migranes, irritible bowel and more. All are gone since surgery. I am almost 5 months out and have lost 60 percent of my excess weight.
  10. Thats so funny about the flintstones. My surgeons said no because they lack trace minerals. I take.bariatric advantage vanilla chewables. They are delicious. I take an iron pill every other day, b12 shot and calcium of course
  11. I have had ibs for years and never had them until now and they make working out harder. Thats for sure.
  12. That is exactly why I had to go off my fibromyalgia medicine. I live in pain, but I dont want those sude effects any more.
  13. Why do the stalls come when we are near the important numbers? I want to be in the 150s and I am at 160.2 for several days. I exercised alot yesterday so I am hoping for a loss today. It seems like I lose a pound, then gain .2 then sit there for several days then the cycle again. With exercise I thought I would see bigger drops. I have never had my socks knocked off when stepping on the scale. Its sliw and steady for me. I am beginning to fit size small.workout clothes and pjs!!!! To me that is a miracle!
  14. You are doing above average. If you ever have questions ask your surgeon. They have the experience to guide you. Comparing to others may leave you hurt and depressed at some point. However, your weight loss is amazing
  15. I have never had hemoroids in my life until now. I am not constipated, have not been straining, so what gives?
  16. I believe they can go in and re staple the pouch to a smaller size.
