after 26 days in the hospital and a few complications im going home today... and im down 40 pounds in..surgery was Aug 3rd.

i had pain in my left side it almost felt like someone was digging their fingers under my ribs. ended up being a spleanic abcess . i have had the worse luck had surge on Aug 3rd they repaired a leak on the 5 and then the abcess on the 11th. im still in the hospital from day 1, and i just want to home.lol

ended up going to emergency and its an abcess. said i shouldn't have to have more surgery. im praying that there right two house was enough lol only bad thing i had just got out and had to go back and was admitted again.

today i finally came home from the hosp and am having a pain under my left rib feels almost as though someoned pressing there fingers up under them and is worse when i breath heavier. is that gas pain or any guesses

well had my surgery ar 830am on 8/3 and now there taking Mr back to or to makesure there are vote leaks pray for me back

well everythings good so far in some pain though

Hey all I can't believe my surgery is only 11 hours away, I remember when I started all this in feb I thought the 6 months was gonna take forever and it actually flew by. Now I'm a little nervous that the time has come.

Thanks its all cleared up now my pcp faxed everything over this afternoon thank god. I have to be at the hosp at 6:30am Friday morning surgery at 8:30 am excited and a little scared lol

i had a letter od recommendation from my Dr months ago it was one of the first things i had to do. I've done everything and now the hospital wants clearance. its not even my surgeon its the hospital.

I called him and he asked if i had done all the blood work and pre op testing and i said that i had so he told me id be cleared by him. then when i called the surgeon back she said that she tried to call and just got a recording so she left a message and faxed him all my test results and the form he needed to sign. my Dr is old and slow i hope he gets it done today..

My surgeon called me this morning to tell me the hospital wants medical clearance for surgery from my primary care Dr. The receptionist told me she was calling them as soon as his office opened and would call me back.She just wanted to let me know this was going on. Did this happen to anyone else? And shouldn't this have been figured out way before now im schedule for surgery in two days. I hope this doesn't delay things.

yup im on the dreaded liquid diet. almost there though Friday is the big day. i will def walk around if you learn anything on this site its that walking helps lol

how long after you wake from surgery until they will give you some ice or some sips of water. my brother had surgery (not wls) and i remember it was awful for him his mouth was so dry.

we have three more days till the big day. im on the 3rd day of my clear liquid diet. it really sucks im glad i didn't have to do the diet as long as you.but I've lost 8 pounds.

i don't know about everyone else but i only went to one visit.

this is my second day on my clear liquid diet and I've lost 8 pounds already that's crazy...

i have my surgery Friday and i have been taking biotin and some hair and nail pill really hoping they will help.
