  6. Yeah im thinking that the CNS broth is what is gonna help me make it through the liquid diet. Good luck with the rest of your journey..
  7. Right definitely don't think ill miss it to much or the crappy way I feel after I eat it.
  8. I couldn't agree with you more. I want to get it over with so i can move forward and not have to think about the what ifs and all that stuff. just wanna wake up on the 3rd after my surgery see my two daughters and know i made the right decision.
  9. I was at a support group recently and since i have a date they let me sit with the post op people so i could get some idea of how it would be. there were many people so we devided into groups of five or six and they asked how many people had complications and like 4 of the 6 at my table had. and one lady kind of laughed and said i got the lucky table.lol she asked if it had given me seconds thoughts. while it is a little scary so is the thought of losing my legs to the diabetes that I've had for 10 years or having a heart attack because of the high blood pressure and cholesterol. these are my "complications" from being fat but it didn't stop me from having fast food..lol
  10. just curious as to how many of you have had complications since surgery and what kind of complication did you have. my surgery is Aug 3. not trying to be negative but sometimes things happen. maybe you could share how u knew something was wrong and it could give us some ideas of what to watch for..
  11. seen you live in fresno i grew up in visalia/tulare. i live in Illinois now. have some cousins that live in fresno..
  12. we are going to Florida on thurs. near cocoa beach then to the Bahamas on Sunday. my oldest daughter graduated this year and starts college so im taking both my girl 18 and 13 on a cruise kind of a good job gift for her and a last hoorah for me lol
  13. im glad i only have to do a 5 day liquid diet. i hear it sucks.lol
  14. It is but im taking my daughters on vacation. were leaving this Thursday and won't be back until the 28 th the 29 th i start my clear liquid diet so hopefully since i will be busy time will pass quickly lol.
  15. went to my nutrition class and to my pre op surgeon visit today. at first the nurse said that my eeg had some irregular t waves or something and it might delay my surgery. but when i mentioned it to the surgeon he said all was fine and that it was fine there was probably just one of the little sticky things not attached right... so everything is a go for Aug 3 can't wait.
  16. My eval was probably 40 minutes or so of talking about my life, also about my depression and because i had been seeing a therapist on my own for awhile he told me he had to get my med file from my therapist before he could ok it. He gave me a release form and told me to take it to my dr so he could get the files faster and he approved me it took about a week. Idk if I could have gotten a second opinion if he hadn't though because I had to use a psychiatrist my surgeon picked.. Also I take an anti depressant and they just changed it to a capsule that I can open and sprinkle in a bite of something and take after surgery.
