  1. So, Insurance notified me they had everything they needed but my PCP to give me a medical release and of course she made me come in for an appt. So I did that Wednesday, and faxed it to my surgeon's office and they sent it on to my Insurance. Hopefully I will hear soon with an approval. Crossing my fingers!!
  2. Welcome to the group! I can't wait til I can rock heels!
  3. I really enjoyed it! I will definitely be going back. They meet the 4th Tuesday of everymonth.
  4. Not sure about per meal, I am pre-op and currently on a 1500 per day program. I was advised to eat more for breakfast and lunch to get you through the day, and less at dinner.
  5. Hey, anytime. Another good thing, you can set a special password on your account, and when you visit your dietician/nutritionist, they can log on and view your log and help you with anything or make suggestions.
  6. Ok this isn't related to WLS or anything but has anyone here ever had microdermabrasion? I have been wanting it done, just wondering what it was like and if it had good results or not. There is a good deal on Groupon for a Med Spa here, just wondering if it was worth it or not.
  7. Sooooooo, anyhoo.
  8. I love the MyFitnessPal. It's easy to use in my opinion. It has most foods nutritional value already in it, so you can just enter a brand or type of food and it gives the information. Plus it will store past foods you've entered and you can just go to the list and add it to your daily intake. My Surgeon, Nutritionist and Dietician all recommend it.
  9. That's great! You go girl!
  10. lol my Dietician is very nice to look at too.. I never mind my appointments with him....
  11. That is AWESOME!! Keep it up you can get there. You just totally motivated me even more.
  12. I guess it depends on what type she has. Mine is the normal, 80/20 til I meet the deductible then it's 100%.
  13. It's at Mercy Hospital. If you are interested I can send you directions and info. Just message me.
  14. I love sushi! I was wondering the other day if I could eat it or not after I have surgery.
  15. Hey, Charlotte here. Working, did you find your support group? I am going to one tomorrow night. It's required by my surgeon pre-op too.
  16. Hi Jrzy. No I haven't had my surgery yet. I am waiting on approval from the Insurance company. I actually just got off the phone with them, and they said they should have an answer within 5 days, so I am praying, crossing my fingers and whatever else I need to do. I go to Columbia some, I have family in Chapin.
  17. I"m in the same boat, I am waiting to hear from the Insurance company too.
  18. Hi beadles, I am 40 as well. I am waiting on my insurance approval, so not too much behind you. I look forward in being able to share my journey as well. Keep in touch, let me know how you are doing.

Hi and welcome!! Congrats on the 95 lbs! wow! I am still pre-op, but I hope I can do as well as that. I recently bought a recumbent exercise bike, and I loveeee it. It is comfy, and doesn't hurt my back... I just started on it this week, but can go atleast a mile and 1/2 on it right now. If you want the info on it, I'll be glad to give it to you. I liked it also, because it had a higher weight capacity, most of the ones I saw were a weight capacity of 250, this one is 325.
  21. Yes, thanks for posting. Interesting. I have always wanted to get a massage, now I will have a good reason for it!
  22. I've had all my required testing, and evaluations done, my paperwork was supposedly sent to the Insurance company last week. I am waiting to hear back for an approval, I am praying, crossing my fingers and whatever else I need to do.
  23. I have Skyp too, (just have to remember what my darn name on there is) haha haven't used it much, but would love to chat with others as well. I do not have tri care though.
  24. Hi Nina and Welcome! You will love it here, everyone is great, and so helpful. I am still pre-op (waiting on Insurance approval) so I am right there with you. I will give you any input I can, but it seems are you are a little further along than me.
